ReadingL.I: To create a book review on a text.SC:

Choose a text you have read. It could be fiction or non-fiction. Don’t pick your favourite book. Why not pick a book you don’t like?

MATHSOur new maths topic is – MONEY.

Make sure you have read the learning grid for an explanation of currency.

The pound £ £1 can be split into 100 smaller parts – each part is called

a pence. A £5 note is worth the same as FIVE pound coins. A £10 note is worth the same as TWO £5 notes. A £20 note is worth the same as TWO £10 notes or FOUR

£5 notes.

can make it. For example, £17 can be made with a £10 note, £5 note and two £1 coins. Can it be made any other way?

LI: To create your own charity.

Last week you should have decided on – type of charity and name. Who it supports? If it is a local, national or global charity. What sort of donations you want? How will you use your donations?

This week your task is - To create a logo for your charity. Create a final presentation for your charity. You can choose the

format, it might be a PowerPoint, a poster or another idea you have. This final presentation should contain all the information listed above.

o This is your opportunity to sell your charity, to convince us that your charity is the best and the one we should support.
