Specialist accommodation for hazardous sitesOur secure blast resistant buildings are available in a range of standard sizes and can be internally equipped as office, storage or welfare accommodation, or with a combination of these facilities to suit your specific requirements.

Typically able to withstand a force of 200 millibar free field over pressure for 100 milliseconds, our blast resistant secure units can also be linked together to form modular systems, offering a combination of on-site accommodation facilities.

Users of this specialist anti-vandal accommodation are generally companies engaged in building or maintenance work at sites where hazardous materials are processed or stored, but they are also specified by organisations that need secure accommodation from threats posed by crime or terrorism.

Cabins can be used for a range of applications including offices, canteens, drying and changing facilities, toilets and showers, secure storage and toxic refuges.

SpecificationFLOORS

Heavyweight plywood fixed to joists, welded to side beams and underdrawn with steel.

WALLS

External corrugated steel wall panels, inner foil-backed plasterboard, acoustically and thermally insulated.

ROOF

Galvanised steel roof frame with insulated steel roof sheeting.

WINDOWS

Single glazed sliding windows with laminated glass and catch bars on 100mbar rated unit. Aluminium framed, double-glazed fixed blast windows on 150mbar and 200mbar rated units.

EXTERNAL DOORS

Steel doors are fitted to 100mbar rated units. Specialist blast doors are fitted to 150 and 200mbar rated units.

SERVICES

Electrics: Units wired and tested to current IEE regulations.

Plumbing: Units plumbed in accordance with current regulations.

FIRE RATING

External cladding and internal wall lining - Class ‘O’ surface spread of flame; 20 minutes duration.
