Routes are available in the information room. There is also a walking festival in September/October with many bookable guided walks.

Watch the deer in the adjoining fields, you may even spot a few white stags!

Enjoy the walk into Brockenhurst, just less than 2 miles across heathland. Enjoy delightful tea rooms and treat yourself to scrumptious cakes and bread.

We found the best beach to take dogs to was Shell Bay.

Visitor’s top tips

The Saturday morning market at Lymington has always been a must.

The train service from Brockenhurst is excellent and opens up lots of different days out, particularly if you have bikes.

Don’t forget your bike, there’s plenty of places to cycle.

Try the salt water swimming pool at Lymington, we thought it was excellent.
