The person holding the
pressure hose is omitted because, if
they were in the picture, you would
lose focus of the main idea.

Now, what do you see?
I think now that the
picture is cropped, you see the pain and suffering of the African
Americans clearer.

Pathos: it shows emotional appeal because it makes you angry that people are being so inhumane.
Logos: it applies to the way we think about what we do and how we act.
