BIRD Energy Call for Proposals

“BIRD Energy” follows the same rules and procedures as BIRD.

Please refer to BIRD’s website for submission details - www.birdf.com

To be considered, a project proposal should include:

•R&D cooperation between two companies or cooperation between a company and a

university/research institution (one from the U.S. and one from Israel).

•Innovation in all areas of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, such as Solar

and Wind Power, Advanced Vehicle Technologies and Alternative Fuels, Smart Grid,

Water-Energy Nexus, Advanced Manufacturing, etc.

•Significant commercial potential; the project outcome should lead to

commercialization.

The maximum conditional grant is $1M per project

developing solutions in areas of remote

wearable sensors to provide 3D location, physiological

status, local hazards indicators, etc

SayVU Technologies develops a premier

emergency and alert system including multi-

control centers and networks of reporters for

real time events, in an era of escalating

safety and terror challenges.

Mobile Healthcare

Dimagi delivers open and innovative mobile

technologies in the fields of health and

education to underserved communities. Its

CommCare platform is the most widely used,

evidence-based mobile platform for community

health programs in resource-poor settings.

Joint development product:Comprehensive solution to health care providers in

screening and detecting cervical cancer in low-

resource settings. Caregivers will capture patient data

along with cervical imaging with a mobile phone and

data will be aggregated to track and improve

operations and the accuracy of diagnoses.

MobileODT is a biomedical optics

company that enables cancer detection

using any digital camera. Its first product is

the mobile colposcope, the world’s first

connected-health gynecological screening

device
