INTRODUCTION

With the BIOMA software installed at a WtE plant it is amongst other things possible to determine the biogenic energy production based on existing measurements.

LEVY EXEMPTION CERTIFICATES (LEC)

Companies in UK must pay CCL (Climate Change Levy) on their electricity consumption. However with evidence to show that the electricity is sourced from renewable sources by LECs (Levy Exemption Certifi-cates). An electricity producer that is accredited can supply green electricity and LECs to the UK Market and hereby receive a high price for the Guarantee Of Origin certificate (GOO).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• BIOMA has been accepted by the UK authorities since 2012.

• A power trading company will take care of the administration and you’ll only have to deliver plant and operational data.

• Typically, additional income finances BIOMA within the first year or two
