There are comparison between Meiosis 1 and Meiosis 2 that I am going to compare these twosubjects. Meiosis 1 and Meiosis 2 is the phases in process of meiosis. Meiosis is a nuclear divisionprocess that divides the parental chromosome number in half. Meiosis 1 consists of the stages that areprophase 1, metaphase 1, anaphase 1 and telophase 1. As meiosis 1, meiosis 2 also consists of thestages that are prophase 2, metaphase 2, anaphase 2 and telophase 2. Each of these stages have its own
specific process and characteristics. The two subjects which is meiosis 1 and meiosis 2 have similaritiesand differences.
The most significant similarities between meiosis 1 and meiosis 2 are both of the subjectsinvolve in the process of cell division, both of them have the same purpose that is to produce the half number of chromosomes, and these two subjects process occur in specialized reproductive cells. Thefirst similarity is both of the two subjects involve in the process of cell division. As we know, meiosis 1and meiosis 2 are the phases in meiosis process. Meiosis is nuclear division mechanism that occurs in
immature reproductive cells of eukaryotes. The second similarity is both of them have the samepurpose that is to produce the half number of chromosomes, They undergoes the process in order to
produce haploid number of chromosomes. And the third similarity is these two subjects occur inspecialized reproductive cells. In animals, the mature cells called gametes form by meiosis of germ cells.A sperm is an example of a male gamete and an egg is the female gamete.
The three most significant differences in meiosis 1 and meiosis 2 are both of the subjects havedifferent in characteristics of chromosome, both of the subjects produce different number of haploiddaughter cells and the presence of interphase process in these both subjects. Eventhough subject 1 andsubject 2 share similarities, they also have differences. The first differences between meiosis 1 andmeiosis 2 is the characteristics of chromosomes. In meiosis 1, chromosomes are in homologouschromosomes form which is bivalent in chromosomes and tetrad in chromatids. Homologous
chromosomes have the same length, shape and assortment of genes. In meiosis 2, chromosomes are insister chromatids form. The second differences between these two subjects is each of them have
different number of haploid daughter cells. In the telophase in meiosis 1, it will produce two haploiddaughter cells while in the telophase in meiosis 2, it will produce four haploid daughter cells. The thirddifferences between meiosis 1 and meiosis is the presence of interphase. Before entering the meiosis 1,the cell undergoes the process of interphase which is replication of DNA is prior to meiosis 1 whilebefore meiosis 2, there are no interphase that is DNA is not replicated prior to meiosis 2.
The conclusion is, from the brain fest map, I could analyse what is significant similarities anddifferences. The subject 1 and subject 2 is under the same process but they still have differences. Theyhave differences in several categories that we could compare on both subjects and they also sharesome similarities. Therefore, meiosis 1 and meiosis 2 is the unique process where the number of chromosomes in daughter cell become half from its parental number chromosomes and occurs in
reproductive cells. Meiosis is important in increase the genetic material and production of gametes.
