Actual business cases BioBoost• Peelland Energyport (cooperation):

– creating value from biomass in the circular economy

• Terramass: – producing biochar, pyro-oil, syngas, minerals from pig manure

• Duckweed: – from (thin) manure, champost, waste heat and CO2 as power feed for cows (replacing soy) or

proteins for food/feed

• Green pig: – algae greenhouse on pig stable (algae using ammonia and thin manure; product: algae = liquid

feed)

• Supersonic drying– Energy efficient drying of agri and food waste; protein and fiber isolation and re-use in

products

• Green Tech Park Boxtel– Transfer of municipal solid and green waste into local used

heat and power; fertilizer used as organic local farming (city farming)

• New materials from municipal waste

Biobased case development started in cooperation: SRE (now MRE) and BOM

Example: Algae production

• Basis; rest flow of agriculture: thin fraction rich of N, P, K• Main elements for algae to grow• Special reactor design• Algae can be used as elements for feed or food (natural coloring e.g.)

Example Objectives

1. Greenpoint International is one of the companies which focuses on the realize a network of sustainable fuel points in the Benelux (2 operational in NL, 3 ready to build

2. Greenpoint international is currently at various locations in the Benelux engaged in the development of sites for distribution of renewable fuels.

3. Also the (local) production of renewable fuels is part of the concept4. Biogas produced in local digesters can be converted to LBM, creating a high-

quality application for the biogas. • LBM provides a durability step in the logistics sector with an effective

renewable fuel. • By keeping the process chain in one location gives it a very visual image of

renewable energy from waste or windmill to product / consumer use. 5. The concept developed by Greenpoint goes beyond the supply of renewable

fuels such as;• Hydrogen• LNG• CNG• Bio-LNG• Fossil Fuels.

Next step: BioEnNW2?Goal:1. to bring new bioenergy schemes to realization 2. to create strong and sustainable structures for the continued

development of local bioenergy installations. 3. By bringing together into dialogue and action: communities, finance

sources, technology providers and businessesFocus:• Green Innovation Centre's

1. Local feedstock sourcing (green and solid)2. Integral techniques to transfer to green products and energy3. Entrepreneurs' for integral and BAT system development. Business case with positive

energy mass balance and optimal cash flow (max sales of different products, low feedstock cost and process [capex, opex]).

4. Model for BIC BOOM and sales5. Development of BIC campus (virtual learning and experience centre)

• Commercialization of bioenergy products• Pyrofab commercialization
