PERSONAL VITAKathy was born and raised in Southern Indiana where she grew up mediating affairs between her twin brother and cousin. She will tell you childhood was the Norman Rockwell picture we all wished to experience. Once she graduated from Purdue to start her career personal adventure became a passion. You have to ask her about taking an Alaskan Safari, stepping into the cage with wild wolves, boating around the Na Pali Coast of Kauai or running the rapids on the Colorado River. I guess you could say she enjoys life to the fullest.
It is with great love Kathy dotes on her six nieces and nephews, and five step-grand kids. However, the joys of life are her Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Just ask her and you will be sitting through videos and pictures of the cutest little dogs. In addition, she is an avid animal welfare supporter, which does not stop with dogs as Kathy is a longtime preponderate of wolf preservation.
CAREER VITAKathy is an experienced HR Executive who has made her mark in a variety of industries. From small start-ups to large multi-national organizations she has led, transformed and cultivated a dynamic career. She is an adaptive leader that engages the human element in organizations through diverse development, recruiting and employment strategies. She brings calm to chaos, builds structure from vision and drives success of mission. CAREER VITA: Continued…Yes, this is the same company that has the slogan, “It takes a tough man to make a tender chicken.” Kathy had a very interesting experience working in the turkey and further processing plants. You have to ask her about meetings with “The Mr. Frank Perdue”.
Kathy’s next move was to try her hand at being an insurance agent back home in Indiana. While this was an interesting stint into the world of entrepreneurial ventures, it was less of a fit for her professional talents. After a couple years of insurance sales she moved on to a new opportunity.
Kathy’s most challenging and interesting job was within the pharmaceutical / biotech arena as the Director of HR. While working for Schwarz Pharma she at last had the job most fitting with her skill set and talents. Growth and change was the name of the game with the company and Kathy not only helped to build and grow the manufacturing plant / lab site, but was hand chosen by the CHRO of Global HR to open the new biotech center in RTP, NC. Kathy will tell you this was one of the best opportunities of her career and was so disappointed when a trip down the aisle required a move to Texas and giving up her favorite job.
After a sabbatical Kathy once again found a wonderful company in which to work as the HR Director. While this turned into a short term opportunity due to the sale of the company, it was an enjoyable time working for Chartwell Diversified Services, the largest home healthcare

the vision, scope and culture of the organization.
Kathy began her career in logistics & transportation. She was actually the person who hired over 500 employees annually just to receive, store and ship goods across the eastern half of the US for Ben Franklin Stores, Inc., part of the Household Merchandise Company. While BF no longer exists you can think of her as the pre-Wal-Mart HR leader in the largest warehouse company wide.
Kathy’s first industry shift came when she was recruited to Perdue Farms, Inc. to be the HR Manager for the turkey side of the business.
company in Texas.
Once again Kathy searched for a home and to her surprise a position in the non-profit sector was offered. As many know, non-profits are interesting groups, but finances are tight. After almost seven years leading the effort to improve and transform the organization on a limited budget it was time to move on to a new opportunities where Kathy’s talents and strengths could be use more effectively.
Kathy is open to new and challenging opportunities either in-house or as an advisor. Her industries of experience are Healthcare, Pharma, Biotech, Manufacturing, Logistics and Non-Profit.
