OXFORD BILINGUAL JOURNEY PRIMARY Amazing Rooftops has three projects per level which are linked to the experiment pages in New Think Do Learn Natural Sciences and the project pages in New Think Do Learn Social Sciences. This consistency consolidates content through collaborative learning, and links experiential and active methodology by applying critical thinking skills and the scientific method. • Both courses share key topics such as the earth, the ocean, cities and mammals. • Children prepare to present their projects through the carefully-staged steps, developing research, communication and life skills along the way. • Language presented in Amazing Rooftops is reinforced and extended in New Think Do Learn in order to consolidate language learning. • Projects are centred around a final presentation, allowing individual, group or whole class participation. In this project, students learn about different landscapes on Earth and work collaboratively to create and present the project to the class. Combine this with the Unit 2 project in New Think Do Learn Social Sciences 3, where children work in groups to create their own landscapes! You can teach this unit to consolidate Social Sciences knowledge about landscapes on Earth. Land on Earth How do they work together? OXFORD BILINGUAL JOURNEY • PRIMARY

Amazing Rooftops has three projects per level which are linked to the experiment pages in New Think Do Learn Natural Sciences and the project pages in New Think Do Learn Social Sciences. This consistency consolidates content through collaborative learning, and links experiential and active methodology by applying critical thinking skills and the scientifi c method.

• Projects are centred around a fi nal presentation, allowing individual, group or whole class participation.

In this project, students learn about different landscapes on Earth and work collaboratively to create and present the project to the class.Combine this with the Unit 2 project in New Think Do Learn Social Sciences 3, where children work in groups to create their own landscapes! You can teach this unit to consolidate Social Sciences knowledge about landscapes on Earth.

Earth̒s Climate

While students are learning about the different climates and weather on Earth, take content a step further and go to Unit 4 of New Think Do Learn Social Sciences 3 to teach how Earth’s movement creates the seasons. In addition, promote creativity by having students build their own Solar System! With this project, students discover how weather and climate on those planets will be completely different to that on Earth.

In this project, students learn about oceans and create a model of the ocean with information they have learnt throughout the unit. Extend the topic about water and oceans with the Unit 3 project in New Think Do Learn Social Sciences 3, where they learn about clean water and why it is important for life on Earth.
