BIG IMPACT! John Lloyd has been a Big Brother to Tray for more than four years. After just six months together, Tray chose John as the subject for a school paper he wrote on “the most influential man in my life.” After two years together, John asked Tray to be his best man at his wedding, a gesture that exemplified the bond they had quickly formed. John has consistently supported Tray academically. When Tray has had some rough times at school, John made sure he received tutoring and spent time with him in the library. John also supports Tray in his extracurricular activities, cheering him on during his game days. Kathryn Hart was matched with her Little Sister Tyler about five years ago. Tyler’s mother Theresa turned to Big Brothers Big Sisters after a series of health problems left her legally blind. Theresa’s disability created obstacles that prevented her from being able to give Tyler all of the new experiences and opportunities that she hoped for her daughter. Kathryn’s strong relationship with Theresa has enabled them to work as a team to encourage success in every area of Tyler’s life. When Theresa mentions a concern, Kathryn comes up with innovative ways to address that concern. Kathryn has increased Tyler’s health and fitness, for example, by taking her on hikes followed by healthy picnics. Theresa states, “I’m not sure what I’d do without Kathryn’s support. I am eternally grateful for all she’s done for Tyler and our family.” Big Brothers Big Sisters Celebrates Outstanding Mentors John Lloyd and Kathryn Hart honored as Big Brother and Big Sister of the Year at our Big Breakfast Improving children’s lives since 1973 through powerful one-to-one mentoring relationships. BIG IMPACT!

John Lloyd has been a Big Brother to Tray for more than four years. After just six months together, Tray chose John as the subject for a school paper he wrote on “the most influential man in my life.”

After two years together, John asked Tray to be his best man at his wedding, a gesture that exemplified the bond they had quickly formed. John has consistently supported Tray academically. When Tray has had some rough times at school, John made sure he received tutoring and spent time with him in the library. Kathryn Hart was matched with her Little Sister Tyler about five years ago. Tyler’s mother Theresa turned to Big Brothers Big Sisters after a series of health

problems left her legally blind.

I am eternally grateful for all she’s done for Tyler and our family.”
