THEME: “That he might send them forth...” (Mark 3:14)Welcome to the
115th Annual General Assembly of The Church of GodOh, what wonderful things we look forward to! This world is not our
home! During these perilous times we must keep working and looking up for our redemption draweth nigh. These perilous times will usher in days of glory, days of refining, days of purging, days of manifestation of the power of God, days of great rejoicing, days of miracles and wonders, days of the Bride making herself ready for the coming of the Lord.
Times are gray and grim. Pestilences, distress of nations, wars, politi-cal, economic, and social disturbances, COVID-19 and cancel culture, the increase of Christian persecution, so on and so forth. As darkness continues to creep like an impalpable shadow across the world many people, even some Christians, are uncertain of the future and wonder if some catastrophic event isn’t at hand. Because of this people’s hearts fail and burst with fear. But we know our future! Our eyes are set on Jesus and in His Word, and we are per-suaded that what is going on in the world today is none other than the glorious fulfilment of the will of God on earth as it is in heaven.
But The Church of God must watch and pray lest we too fall victim to the spirit of fear that will cause us paralysis and hinder our forward movement, spiritual or otherwise. Let’s keep our eyes on Christ, Bible revelation and all of God’s promises, for they will make the difference in us either fulfilling or not fulfilling our daily Christian duty and the worldwide task that is still at hand. If we resolve to remain close to God, we will find that no matter what our surroundings are like, we are still be able to hear the clamant task given to us of “Go ye therefore…” (Matt. 28:19).
We welcome you back to our Annual General Assembly. We would like for all delegates from near and far to feel welcomed in this place. We are here because it has pleased the Lord that we should gather for our 115th General Assembly. There is a great sense of anticipation that God will do powerful and mighty things among us as we sit together in fellowship with Him and one another. Thank you for turning aside from your daily labors and cares and coming to Cleveland, Tennessee. We are now on holy ground, and we want to be slow to speak as we gather in the presence of God, but we desire to be quick to hear and obey whatever He wishes to speak to us.
May your heart and soul delight in the presence and blessings of God in every session. Let us pray that God’s perfect will may prevail throughout this Assembly.

Jehovah Jireh, my ProviderJehovah Nissi, Lord, You reign in victory
Jehovah Shalom, my Prince of PeaceAnd I worship You because of who you are

COME UNTO MEHear the blessed Savior calling the oppressed
Oh, ye heavy laden, come to Me and restCome, no longer tarry, I your load will bear
Bring Me every burden, bring Me every care
Come unto Me, I will give you restTake My yoke upon you, hear Me and be blest I am meek and lowly, come and trust My might Come, My yoke is easy, and My burden’s light
Are you disappointed, wand’ring here and there Dragging chains of doubt and loaded down with care?
Do unholy feelings struggle in your breast? Bring your case to Jesus—He will give you rest
Stumbling on the mountains dark with sin and shame Stumbling toward the pit of hell’s consuming flame
By the pow’r of sin deluded and oppressedHear the tender Shepherd, Come to Me and rest
Have you by temptation often conquered been Has a sense of weakness brought distress within? Christ will sanctify you, if you’ll claim His best
In the Holy Spirit, He will give you rest
18
JESUS, SOMETHING ABOUT THAT NAMEJesus, Jesus, Jesus; there’s just something about that name
Master, Savior, Jesus, like the fragrance after the rainJesus, Jesus, Jesus, let all heaven and earth proclaim
Kings and kingdoms will all pass away, but there’s something about that name
“There’s Something about that Name” words and music by William J. & Gloria Gaither© 1970 William J. Gaither, Inc. CCLI License #3000128
GOODNESS OF GODI love You, Lord
For Your mercy never fails meAll my days, I’ve been held in Your hands
From the moment that I wake upUntil I lay my head
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
And all my life You have been faithfulAnd all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am ableOh, I will sing of the goodness of God
I love Your voiceYou have led me through the fire
In the darkest nightYou are close like no otherI’ve known You as a FatherI’ve known You as a Friend
And I have lived in the goodness of God
‘Cause Your goodness is running afterIt’s running after me
Your goodness is running afterIt’s running after me
With my life laid downI’m surrendered nowI give You everything
‘Cause Your goodness is running afterIt’s running after me

HIS WAY WITH THEEWould you live for Jesus and be always pure and good?
Would you walk with Him within the narrow road?Would you have Him bear your burden, carry all your load?
Let Him have His way with thee
His power can make you what you ought to beHis blood can cleanse your heart and make you free
His love can fill your soul, and you will see’Twas best for Him to have His way with thee
Would you have Him make you free and follow at His call?Would you know the peace that comes by giving all?
Would you have Him save you so that you can never fall?Let Him have His way with thee
Would you in His kingdom find a place of constant rest?Would you prove Him true in providential test?
Would you in His service labor always at your best?Let Him have His way with thee.
LEANING ON THE EVERLASTING ARMSWhat a fellowship, what a joy divine
Leaning on the everlasting armsWhat a blessedness, what a peace is mine
Leaning on the everlasting arms
Leaning, leaning, safe and secure from all alarmsLeaning, leaning, leaning on the everlasting arms
O how sweet to walk in this pilgrim wayLeaning on the everlasting arms
O how bright the path grows from day to dayLeaning on the everlasting arms
What have I to dread, what have I to fearLeaning on the everlasting arms
I have blessed peace with my Lord so nearLeaning on the everlasting arms

HOW GREAT IS OUR GODThe splendor of a king, clothed in majesty
Let all the earth rejoice, all the earth rejoiceHe wraps Himself in light, and darkness tries to hide
And trembles at His voice, trembles at His voice
How great is our God, sing with meHow great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God
Age to age He stands, and time is in His handsBeginning and the end, beginning and the end
The Godhead Three in One—Father, Spirit, SonThe Lion and the Lamb, the Lion and the Lamb
Name above all names, worthy of all praiseMy heart will sing, how great is our God

HE KEEPS ME SINGINGThere’s within my heart a melody; Jesus whispers sweet and low
“Fear not, I am with you, peace, be still,” in all of life’s ebb and flow
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, sweetest name I knowFills my every longing, keeps me singing as I go
All my life was wrecked by sin and strife, discord filled my heart with painJesus swept across the broken strings, stirred the slumbering chords again
Though sometimes He leads through waters deep, trials fall across the wayThough sometimes the path seems rough and steep
see His footprints all the way
Feasting on the riches of His grace, resting ‘neath His sheltering wingAlways looking on His smiling face, that is why I shout and sing
Soon He’s coming back to welcome me, far beyond the starry skyI shall wing my flight to worlds unknown, I shall reign with Him on high
21
IT IS WELL WITH MY SOULWhen peace like a river attendeth my way
When sorrows like sea billows rollWhatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say
It is well, it is well, with my soul
It is well, with my soulIt is well, it is well, with my soul
Though Satan should buffet, though trials should comeLet this blest assurance control
That Christ has regarded my helpless estateAnd hath shed His own blood for my soul
My sin—oh, the bliss of this glorious thought! My sin, not in part but the whole
Is nailed to the cross and I bear it no morePraise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!
And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sightThe clouds be rolled back as a scroll
The trump shall resound and the Lord shall descendEven so, it is well with my soul
I WOULD NOT BE DENIEDWhen pangs of death seized on my soul, unto the Lord I cried
Till Jesus came and made me whole, I would not be denied
I would not be denied, I would not be deniedTill Jesus came and made me whole, I would not be denied
As Jacob in the days of old, I wrestled with the LordAnd instant with a courage bold, I stood upon His Word
Old Satan said my Lord was gone and would not hear my prayerBut praise the Lord! The work is done and Christ the Lord is here
22
WHEN THE ROLL IS CALLED UP YONDERWhen the trumpet of the Lord shall sound and time shall be no more
And the morning breaks eternal bright and fairWhen the saved of earth shall gather over on the other shore
And the roll is called up yonder I’ll be there
When the roll is called up yonderWhen the roll is called up yonderWhen the roll is called up yonder
When the roll is called up yonder I’ll be there
On that bright and cloudless morning when the dead in Christ shall riseAnd the glory of His resurrection share
When His chosen ones shall gather to their home beyond the skiesAnd the roll is called up yonder I’ll be there
Let us labor for the Master from the dawn till setting sunLet us talk of all His wondrous love and care
Then when all of life is over and our work on earth is doneAnd the roll is called up yonder I’ll be there
A GLORIOUS CHURCH Do you hear them coming, brother, thronging up the steeps of light? Clad in glorious shining garments, blood-washed garments pure and white
’Tis a glorious Church without spot or wrinkleWashed in the blood of the Lamb
’Tis a glorious Church without spot or wrinkleWashed in the blood of the Lamb
Do you hear the stirring anthems, filling all the earth and sky?’Tis a grand victorious army, lift its banner up on high!
Never fear the clouds of sorrow, never fear the storms of sinWe shall triumph on the morrow, even now our joys begin
Wave the banner, shout His praises, for our victory is nigh! We shall join our conquering Saviour, we shall reign with Him on high!
23
HOW GREAT THOU ART O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy Hands have madeI see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder
Thy power throughout the universe displayed
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to TheeHow great Thou art, How great Thou art
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to TheeHow great Thou art, How great Thou art!
And when I think, that God, His Son not sparingSent Him to die, I scarce can take it in
That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearingHe bled and died to take away my sin
When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heartThen I shall bow, in humble adoration
And then proclaim: “My God, how great Thou art!”

AT CALVARYYears I spent in vanity and pride, Caring not my Lord was crucified
Knowing not it was for me He died on Calvary
Mercy there was great and grace was free Pardon there was multiplied to me
There my burdened soul found liberty at Calvary
By God’s Word at last my sin I learnedThen I trembled at the law I’d spurned
Till my guilty soul imploring turned to Calvary
Now I’ve given to Jesus everything, now I gladly own Him as my King Now my raptured soul can only sing of Calvary!
Oh, the love that drew salvation’s plan! Oh, the grace that brought it down to man!
Oh, the mighty gulf that God did span at Calvary!24
NOTHING BUT THE BLOODWhat can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus
What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus
Oh! Precious is the flow, that makes me white as snowNo other fount I know, nothing but the blood of Jesus
For my pardon this I see, nothing but the blood of JesusFor my cleansing this my plea, nothing but the blood of Jesus
Nothing can for sin atone, nothing but the blood of JesusNaught of good that I have done, nothing but the blood of Jesus
This is all my hope and peace, nothing but the blood of JesusThis is all my righteousness, nothing but the blood of Jesus
25
AT THE BATTLE’S FRONT
I’ve enlisted for life in the army of the LordThough the fight may be long and the struggle fierce and hard
With the armor of God and the Spirit’s trusty swordAt the front of the battle you will find me
Hear the tramp! tramp! tramping of the armyThe triumph shouting, the foe we’re routing
Hear the tramp! tramp! tramping of the armyMarching on to victory
I’m in this army, this glorious armyAnd the God of battles will defend meI’m in this army, this glorious army
At the front of the battle you will find me
With the banner of love and of holiness unfurledFull salvation proclaim to a sinful, dying world
Tho’ the darts thick and fast from the enemy be hurledAt the front of the battle you will find me.
Is your name, friend, enrolled with the loyal ones and true? Will you dare now to stand with the Saviour’s faithful few?
Will you join with me now and the covenant renew? At the front of the battle you will find me
