FAITHFULNESS TO CHRIST

What is faithfulness?

Once we have placed our faith in Christ for salvation, we must continue to trust Christ to deliver us from sin and lead us in the right way.

Steadfast confidence or continuing trust is called faithfulness.

FAITHFULNESS TO CHRIST

Without faithfulness -----a believer will contribute little to the body of

Christ, his love for Christ will shrink, and his interest in the world will increase.

Faithfulness and Friendship with God (John 15:9-11)Friendship and Answers to Prayer

Certainty of oppositionWhen Christians are unwilling to go along

with the world’s ungodliness there will be opposition.

The world feels justified in hating Christians and openly opposing them.

FAITHFULNESS TO CHRIST

Faithfulness and Friendship with God (John 15:9-11)Friendship and Answers to Prayer

Certainty of oppositionThe world wants a god it can control, not

the One Who controls it. They don’t want the God to Whom they

must submit. As the world hated Christ, they hate the believer.
