Select the XML Publisher Administrator Responsibility XML Publisher AdministratorDouble-click the Home list item. +HomeDouble-click the Template list item. +Templates

Web form Opens

This is the form we will query to get the “Seeded” Oracle FSG Template so we can make modifications

Query Up FSGXML Basic Template in the Name field. Type %FSG%XML%

Choose “GO” ButtonNew Screen. Double Click on FSGXML: Basic Drilldown Template

This is the base “Seeded” form you will download the template from so that you can make your changes.

The FSGXML: Basic Drilldown Template Opens. Double Click on Down Load. Then open the file.

Do not close the Oracle window. You will be returning to upload your modifications to the template.

Microsoft Word file opens for editing. This is the template that you will change to add logos, bolds, italics and formatting. Headings have format functions that come standard with Microsoft word.

To Change the logo.Single Click on the Oracle Logo.

Choose insert from the Microsoft Windows Menu. Choose picture and browse for your logo.

Choose logo and the Microsoft Word template should look like below.

Save the edited file with a “name” and” location” where you will be storing your FSG Templates.Note: You will need to upload this template to Oracle when you create your “Personal” Template

Return to Oracle and the template Page. Choose Return to Templates in the bottom left hand corner of the Form.

You will be returned to the following form. Choose “Create template”

The following Screen opens. Input the following fields

Name = Naming Convention, Code is free form, Application = General Ledger, Data Definition = FSGXML Program, Type = RTF. Then Click the “Browse” button and find the template “on your PC” that you just modified in Microsoft word and save. Language must be English. Choose Apply

This attaches that Microsoft Word document(Template) to the Oracle template you are now creating.

You will receive a confirmation when your template has been successfully completed.

You are now ready to publish appropriate FSG’s with the template you created named “SP FSG Template”

Return to Oracle Form and Choose “GL Super User” responsibility if not already there.

Publishing FSG’s is done in the reports “Standard” menu path rather than the reports “Financial” menu path. Choose Report > Request> Standard. Choose Single Request Choose OK.

The “Standard” report you will run is called the Program – Publish FSG Report

Type %Program%Publish% and hit tab to bring up the matching criteria. Choose Program – publish FSG Report.

The program and associated parameters come up. Choose the FSG report that you want to publish. Put in the name of the “report” and change the” period” if necessary. A content set may also be chosen.

Choose OK.

The form minimizes. Change the default “Layout” to the Template created earlier in the exercise by choosing the “Options” button below.

The following form opens. Highlight the “Template Name” field and a drop down box appears.Click on the drop down box.

Select the “Template” created earlier in the exercise. Choose OK. Form Closes. Choose OK.Choose Submit.

The report is sent to the concurrent manager the same as any other “Financial” or “Standard” report..The report format will look like this but with the data from the report selected.
