The Ocean Room conveys an ambiance that feels exclusive and reveals outstanding ocean and sunset views. Throughout the season, especially during the busy summer months, the Ocean Room hosts larger member and guest member events such as the annual Easter Brunch or Thanksgiving Dinner which feature lavish buffets, often complete with musical entertainment. The Ocean Room’s adjoining Ocean Terrace offers sweeping views of the Atlantic and has helped this venue become a favorite location.

The Palms and Palms Terrace feature panoramic views of the croquet greensward and hole numbers 10 & 18 that make this semicircular venue stand apart from the rest. The tavern-type menu and relaxed social setting is highlighted with large screen televisions, a fully stocked bar, and an informal place to enjoy a cold beverage after a round of golf. Peli seating is available on the pool deck, on our “Peli Perch” which overlooks the At-lantic, or inside where you can enjoy the hottest sporting events on the large screen television. Golf at Bald Head Island Club ~ 910.457.7310 Golf Shop and Starting Times

In December 2009, Golf Course Architect Tim Cate was hired to move the course closer to the original George Cobb design, build in environmental enhancements to have the course better mesh with the Island’s natural environment, simplify routine maintenance, and make operational improvements. He partnered closely with the Club to rework the golf course to take better advantage of the property’s natural topography and assets.

By May 22, 2010, all 18 holes reopened for play. 10 holes were entirely renovated and the other eight holes were slightly altered to become more playable and more strategic. Every tee, green complex, and bunker was newly constructed to modern

day standards; many fairways were re-graded and re-sodded. Finally, a state-of-the-art irrigation system was installed around the greens, and in some cases, the tees and fairways, tying back to the work done in 2005.

The course wraps around freshwater lagoons and through a maritime forest. We feature a modern clubhouse and golf shop with a variety of men's and women's apparel and equipment. After your round of golf, enjoy a beverage or delicious meal at any of the Club’s restaurants.
