Hi off-campus folks! Welcome to your first Beyond the Bubble bulletin. This newsletter is basically a way for you to stay up to date with what’shappening in your communities – whether you live in Leamington,Kenilworth, Coventry or the surrounding areas. In this bulletin, there’sinformation on everything from local community centres and activities, to information on everything from local community centres and activities, to the Olympics, and staying safe – so there’s something that everyone should find interesting or relevant. If you missed the moving-in guide at the start of term, it’s still available on the SU website, so have a look!

The Olympic Torch CeremonyOn 19th October 2011, the Coca-Cola Olympic Torch Tour came to Warwick as part of a nationwide search forinspirational young people - Future Flames - to carry the Olympic Flame during the London 2012 Olympic TorchRelay. Coca-Cola encouraged everyone to come down to the Piazza to nominate inspirational young people whothey believe should be celebrated with the opportunity to carry the Olympic Flame.

If you didn't make it along on the day, you can still be involved in the Olympics by applying to be aCoventry Ambassador:

Noise in your community

This is a gentle reminder to please keep the noise down in the late evening (and early hours of the morning!). sincewe've received some complaints from local residents recently and we really don't want any of you to get fined!

Brunswick's Family Planning Clinic at the Brunswick Healthy Living Centre is now open - to contact, please call 01926423736. The opening times are: Monday and Wednesday - 7pm-8.30pm, Friday 2pm to 5pm and Saturday 9:30am­11 :30am. If you live on or near Clarendon Street. check out the sewer works that might be affecting you.

On the 6th November, there's a canal clean up between 11 am-12:30pm - another great chance to make a differ­ence to your community and the environment. Meet between st Mary's bridge and Tachbrook Road bridge. Forfurther information on either of these events, contact Kath at [email protected]

Finally, if you're looking for lovely places to hang out or get something delicious and cheap to eat. swing byBrunswick Healthy Living Centre in South Leam (5 minutes walk from the train station bridge!)
