Ahoy there!
Nice to see you all back – I trust Chrimbo was as thoroughly unproductive for you as it was for me, since all I did was sit around in my pants contemplating the absolute brilliance of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s performance in that seminal Christmas classic, Jingle All the Way. “I VANT A TEEURBO-MAN!”
Being such a great bloke, I’ve decided to grace you all with my presence on the first Friday back for a flipping PAINT PARTY at Top B. We will be ’aving it good and proper before my buddy Tim Westwood shows up the following night to drop what he charitably refers to as “the bomb”. Please note that no actual explosives will be involved (Health & Safety, innit).
I’d put something helpful here about the wealth of services the SU offers, but I’ve run out of words, so go to the website or something. In the meantime, can someone fetch me some chips from The Duck? Ta.

refreshers fair coming soon!On January 22nd, we will be holding a special Refreshers Fair in the Atrium to showcase a few of the many societies and sports clubs which we offer here at Warwick, as well as giving you another chance to take advantage of student-friendly offers from selected companies. If you spent the bulk of your first term getting settled in and now want to get more involved in student life, this is a great opportunity
to come and chat to members of our societies and see what they have to offer – who knows, the new activity you take a
chance on may end up changing your life!

He returned to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with his second solo stand-up show ‘Can I Be Honest?’ in 2011, and tops a bill which also includes Joel Dommett and musical comedy stars Jollyboat.

term 2 preview
Much like Selina Kyle’s answering-machine in Batman Returns, the party never
stops here at Warwick SU. There’s loads of stuff coming up this term to look out for – here’s just a sneak preview of
what’s in store…
The world’s biggest student-run international festival, One World Week, will be back in Week 4 – watch out for details of all their night-time events, forums
and sporting activities coming soon! Xananas will be holding an international food festival throughout the week, while Curiositea will offer a selection of coffees
from around the world.
In Week 5 we’ll be asking your opinions on the SU in our annual survey, The Big 5. This is your chance to have your say on all aspects of our service provision – if you have something
to say, make sure you fill out a copy in person or online!
Bandsoc’s annual Battle of the Bands competition will make its return shortly as well – among other top prizes, there’s a place on the Main Stage bill at the Summer Party up for grabs, so it’s all to play for across 5 heats, a Semi-Final and the Grand Final in Copper Rooms 1. Make sure you come along and support your mates as they duke it out onstage
for a shot at the title!
At our outlets, Curiositea will be celebrating Valentine’s Day with a special menu in Week 6, while The Bread Oven will be offering themed grub to coincide
with a live screening of the Superbowl in Week 4. Week 8 will also be Vegetarian Week in Xananas!
All this, plus the return of our annual Varsity tournament, the SU Officer Elections and the Real Ale Festival.
There’s never been a better time to get involved in your SU!
