The program focuses on improving not only basic motor skills, but developing students’ confidence, self-esteem, disci-pline, respect and focus. Furthermore, our program consists of a balanced cardiovas-cular workout, including punching, kicking, and blocking skills while using self-control and the Taekwondo tradition. Participants will improve coordination, power of con-centration, balance, and both physical and mental discipline. The program will en-courage students’ sense of commitment and persistence in the face of challenges while helping them enter society with a more confident and enthusiastic outlook.

YogaKids By YogaKids of Oak Park THU | Grades K—5 $151 Kim has studied a variety of yoga styles for over 20 years. She is a Certified YogaKids Teacher (CYKT) . YogaKids is based on Howard Gardener’s Multiple Intelligence Theory. In every class, music, stories and cooperative activities insure that each child is engaged and confident. Age-appropriate breathing techniques both calm and energize. Yoga poses strengthen and stretch the body. Verbal directions and movement that crosses the body’s mid-line create new brain pathways to learn-ing and concentration. Since yoga is a non-competitive activity, self-esteem is natural-ly fostered. Both boys and girls enjoy fun, friend- ship and fo-cus each week.
