Edition 28 3rd May 2016
Dear Members,
Best news of the week … Rob is out of hospital after 5½ weeks
of being stuck in St John of God Murdock, he’s finally out and
throwing himself a little party daily (looking for party-goers to
join him, all visitors welcome…. Haaha) He is truly happy to be
out, as you can imagine for someone that was at the peak of
his performance training for Aussies to be bed ridden for such
a long time, it has taken its toll.
However, he’s “Home-Up-And-About” still on heavy
medication and attending regular check-ups. But, hopefully
we’ll be seeing him around the club soon.
Thank you to all those members that have been concerned
and calling to find out his progress. Messages have been
forwarded.
Rob, will be attending our Prestigious Annual Dinner Dance
and Awards night, so if you haven’t already booked your
tickets for yourself or for a table of friends, please do so … This
is a star-studded night, filled with entertaining fun and
celebrations. You wouldn’t want to miss out. As mentioned
there are still some tickets available so it’s not too late to
book, just call us in the office to book: 9448 1431, between
9.30-2.30pm.
AGM – Friday, 24th June:
The date has been finalised for our AGM. It will be structured
slightly different this year and will not be a long drawn out
process with each Director standing up to cover their
relevant disciplines. Rob will do a “general” discussion;
Martina will discuss finances, then there will be an open forum
for any Q&A’s.
Registrations will commence from 5-6.30pm with the AGM
starting at 7:00pm. All members that attend the AGM will
need to be financial members for the 2016/17 season in order
to vote at the AGM, as an incentive for attending the AGM
your membership fees will be given to you at the 2015/16
rate.
Kind regards,
Kerry Yates
Administration Manager

Open for dinner this Wednesday night as always. Just because the season is finished doesn’t mean we
have shut up shop. With Finns café closed now for winter why not come in and have breakfast on a
Saturday morning (it will be served in our lovely courtyard this Saturday due to a private function).
Sunday mornings coffee is still being made by our lovely Barristers so invite your friends and family down to
enjoy the pleasures of the seaside with a nice hot coffee on a cold Autumn morning. Life is good!
