San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) is a regulated public utility that provides service to 3.4 million people through 1.4 million electric meters and 830,000 natural gas meters in San Diego and southern Orange counties. District Engineering Intern At SDG&E Power Quality -Voltage recorders are used to observe issues regarding a SDG&E customers’ power. I programmed each individual voltage recorder according to the customers’ configuration. The results help evaluate the issue . They allow engineers to determine if a problem exists and how we address the issue to ensure customers have safe and reliable energy -Reliability Presentations are given to improve overall system reliability I was involved in presenting and observing presentations on how to improve reliability to SDG&E customers. Customer Service - I contacted SDG&E customers regarding concerns or issues they were experiencing. Customers called asking questions about outages, or a particular voltage issue they were experiencing at home I would like to thank : Alan Dulgeroff Sharna Hillius Jim Stokely Lisa Zelkind Omar Zevallos and the rest of the staff at SDG&E for the valuable information, tours and hands on experience I’ve gained during my summer internship for SDG&E.
