and strategies that will help you maximize your financial aid by understanding the
process, and how implementing strategies may increase a family’s eligibility even if you
have a “high income” or own a business. The greatest amount of financial aid goes to
the families who act in the years before college. REMEMBER: Procrastination
equals less financial aid. All schools are not alike, so it is important to know your op-

Len May Rm. 112 $24 Tues 7:00-8:30 pm 1 wk. (2016: Oct. 18)
The good news is that people are living longer. But living a long life doesn't guarantee
that it will be a perfectly healthy one; and as baby boomers age, the long term care crisis
in America will only worsen. At least 70% of people over age 65 will require long term
care services at some point in their lives. (see www.longermcare.gov) A well thought
out plan for addressing the need for care is essential to the physical, emotional, and fi-
nancial needs of you and your family.
Attendees will receive the 30-page class notes covering:
What are the long term care risks and consequences?
Can you afford long term care?
What are the options? Can the government help?
How do both the traditional long term care and the new insurance alternatives work,
and which might be appropriate for your situation?
How to develop a plan of action?
Len May is a graduate of MIT’s Sloan School of Management. He transitioned to a ca-
reer in long term care planning and insurance after he saw the consequences of both of
his parents needing extended care. Len earned the CLTC designation and shares his
expertise by conducting seminars for consumers. He also partners with financial plan-
ners, estate planning attorney, and CPAs to help them educate their clients on the im-

WESTERN GREENWAY HIKE HABITAT
Roger Wrubel $18 Sat. 8:00-11:00 pm 1 wk. (Oct. 15)
The Western Greenway is currently over 1,200 acres of undeveloped land in Belmont,
Waltham, and Lexington. There is a seven-mile blazed trail from Mass Audubon’s
Habitat Sanctuary to the Robert Treat Paine Estate in Waltham. The plan is to create a
loop by connecting Beaver Brook Reservation and the Paine Estate. Volunteers have
cleared that route, which eventually will become part of the Mass Central Rail Trail.
This walk will be a true urban exploration along the abandoned railroad bed. It will be
challenging as the trail has uneven terrain and crosses two railroad bridges with spaced
railroad ties. The walk will be approximately 4 miles and conclude at the Paine Estate,
where we will drive back to our starting point (which will be sent prior to the program).
Max: 10 Program meets at Mass Audubon’s Habitat Education Center & Wildlife
Sanctuary, 10 Juniper Road, Belmont, MA.

LEARN TO EXTREME COUPON with B.H.S.
EXTREME COUPONTODAY.COM
Elizabeth Lahens Rm. 103 $30 Thurs. 6:30-9:00 pm 1 wk. (Nov. 10)
Extreme couponing isn’t as crazy as it may sound. You don’t have to let coupons domi-
nate your life and you don’t have to be embarrassed at the cash register. You just need
the right strategies to use coupons in conjunction with store sales and promotions, and
then enjoy the satisfaction of getting items for free or close to free. It’s about timing, not
necessarily using a coupon because you found it in that week’s Sunday paper. This
course will break down the couponing process into manageable and easy to follow steps
to get you on your way to saving at least 50% off your grocery bill. You’ll come to real-
ize how many items you should never pay full price for again. Learn what extreme cou-
poning is, how it differs from regular couponing, how to get started and where to look
for online coupons. Please bring one non-perishable food item to be donated to the local
food pantry. Most food pantries are struggling in this economy with reduced donations.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
