Thank you officers and members for
chairing our Husker tailgate parties and everyone who brings food for sharing. Our numbers of members keep increasing and everyone is having a great time. It’s great seeing our members having fun. We have a book for events located at the entrance of our dining room for those that would like to volunteer. As always, we are in need of volunteers. Thank you to all who help make our events happen.
Way to go HUSKERS ON WINNING your first game of the season! Our Aerie is a busy place, events happening the whole month long, always something to do. Pool, shuffleboard, cribbage, cards, etc.
Thanksgiving is coming fast. Our Auxiliary Ladies will be preparing and serving Thanksgiving Dinner on Sunday November 18th from 4 till 6pm. Meal served with all the trimmings. Donations are welcomed for turkeys, desserts, and anything else you care to donate. Volunteers are needed to help support this event. Cost of the meal will be $9.00.
Donations are needed to replace our air conditioner compressor which will cost around 1,800.00. Send donations to Worthy Secretary Cary Weider. Donations are greatly appreciated.
Brothers or Sisters, if you have talented skills in carpentry, dry walling, electrical, plumbing, carpet laying, painting etc., we need your volunteering skills. As a non-profit, we have limited funds.
For those that missed the Charter Member Appreciation Day, we had a great time and good stories on how our Aerie/Auxiliary was started. If interested go to Nebraska FOE website under Bellevue 3912 History. Very eye opening and interesting. Hope you will see the article in the Bellevue Leader.

It's very important for members to attend Aerie meetings (Usually the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month) (see calendar for changes this month) to help with on-going decisions we are making for our future as an Aerie. Let’s all get at least one new member this year.
Aerie /Auxiliary enrollment fees are waved for November and December. (See Membership News below). Reminder: Veterans, Police Firefghters, and other first responders receive their first year membership free. Ask about the FO.E. Memorial Fund, what it can do for your family.
Tim Phelan organized a fundraiser for John and Donna Rush in order to help them with costs related to John’s accident--this was a huge success. Thank you to everyone who made it happen. This event was not sponsored by our Aerie, but friends and family of John and Donna Rush. Congrats to all. Brothers please support our Aerie as much as you can, and in what capacity you can.
In closing, remember our motto.
IF I CAN NOT SPEAK WELL OF AN EAGLE, I WILL NOT SPEAK ILL OF HIM.
See you around the Eagles. Fraternally, David Hodges
Dear Sisters-
Although I was unable to attend, I would again like to thank all of our Charter Members for their presence at the assembly for recognition. You are our beloved founders and we hope to keep your pride and faith at our FOE.
How exciting was the first win of the season for the Huskers!! Join us for our tailgate parties. Thank you to our trustees for setting up the big screen, it brings us closer together to share good times and good food!
We have exciting news for November. Our Nebraska State Presidents will be here for their official visit. Plan to have steak dinner with them on Nov 9th, followed by karaoke. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the 50/50 raffle~~proceeds will be given to the State Charity Exoskeleton System.
Our Women's Group is growing! Our guest speakers are so informative. Please ladies, plan to join us at our next meeting, Dec 2nd. We have such a wonderful sisterhood and I'm so proud to be a part of it! Happy Thanksgiving! P. S. Thank you to the "deck fairy" who tidies

The Auxiliary is asking members to share their good will with the many people in the Bellevue and surrounding community who need a helping hand, especially food on the table for their families. Our drive will begin Nov 1st and last the entire month.
I visited the Pantry recently and was amazed at the shelves and shelves of various foods, with many shelves completely bare. For instance, lots of peanut butter but no jelly. Drop off items at the Aerie all month.
Check out the items on our flyers and BE AS GENEROUS AS YOU CAN! For info, call Jo, 291-2558.
