BELLEVUE EAGLES #3912 209 West Mission Avenue Bellevue, NE 68005 August 2018
402-292-6950
Salutation Brothers,
If you have been around the Aerie home, you may have noticed wear and tear on certain things. Our Aerie home is an old building and our Aerie and Auxiliary have been hereover 40 years.
To start with, our kitchen floor is in need of replacement. This year, your Aerie and Auxiliary President’s Charity is “OUR AERIE”.
There will be special events, raffle, etc., throughout the year to raise money for the needs of “OUR AERIE;" please support these activities.
Also, donations are appreciated and accepted. Money raised will only be spent towards improving our Aerie home. The trustee’s will make a list prioritizing what needs to be completed.
On August 18th we have our final Open Air Fest (wow, the summer went by fast), featuring Dysfunction. This day is filled with activities. Come join the fun.
August 3rd is our Broasted Chicken Dinner; I encourage everyone to support this dinner, as you have in the past; and other activities that the Aerie and Auxiliary provide.
Bands for the Month of August August 3 The Willards Band
18 Dysfunction 24 Humdingers
31 Throttle up Band
Again support our entertainment.
Thank you to all the volunteers, both Aerie
and Auxiliary, for the work you do. Happy Birthday
**If your name does not appear on our birthday list, please contact Cary Weider, Worthy Secretary, at 402-292-6950 Aerie and Auxiliary members, please sign up a new member. Guess where we would be if we did that? Get new members involved--give them a call. Keep our members that are ill in your thoughts and prayers, as well as John Rush and his family. We would like to see more of our members at the general meetings. Help us with making necessary decisions regarding our Aerie. In order for our Aerie to keep moving forward, we need members and new members to carry the torch. Fraternally, David Hodges Worthy President **********************************************************
Hello Sisters –
I would like to thank everyone for the
kind words and compliments about the article
published in the Bellevue Leader. Hopefully
it reached many others and gives a little boost
to our membership.
August brings us to our 3rd and final
Open Air Fest. The festivities will begin after
the parade. We will have fun for all ages
throughout the day. Please see the sign-up
sheet at the Aerie home if you are able to
volunteer.
Currently the officers are compiling a list
of projects, improvements, and updates to
keep our building safe, attractive, and
inviting. If anyone has an idea or suggestion,
please let us know. The opinions of our
members are very important! We will be
having fundraisers throughout the year to
support these projects. If any of our members
have a skill that could help with these projects;
i.e., carpenters, electricians, flooring, etc., or
recommend a certain company, please let us
know.
I would like to thank everyone for your
continued support on meal nights and
breakfasts. We had some wonderful dishes
and attendance is on the rise! A special thanks
to all our volunteers and kitchen manager who
make it all happen with smiles on their faces!
I hope everyone enjoys these last few
weeks of summer. Husker season is around
the corner!
Best Wishes,
April Frazier

A Special Thank You:
Dear Aerie & Auxiliary Members – Trustee John Rush and I THANK YOU all for your prayers, visits, cards, and the extraordinary hard work you all selflessly contributed while John has been recovering from a spinal cord injury. Entire responsibilities were absorbed amongst the membership, especially the Trustees, Officers, and staff. Words can't express the appreciation we have for the outpouring! He is home now after 4 1/2 months of recovery. We pray he continues improving and we continue our fellowship with all of you! Gratefully Yours, Donna & John Rush
