“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” - Ephesians 3:20

Page 4: Believe booklet

Since its inception, Trinity Christian School has maintained a vision of partnering with parents in educating children while providing them with a Biblical foundation that not only lasts a lifetime but will be passed on to future generations. We are all called to be good stewards of the resources that God has entrusted to us. One of the greatest trusts is the opportunity we possess to have a positive impact on the future of Trinity Christian School.

Your prayers, active participation, and financial support for Trinity will benefit generations of students and the kingdom of God through the training, education, and discipleship of young men and women. We could say they are our leaders for the future, but the reality is, Trinity students are our leaders today!

I invite you to join me as we Believe together and see what God will do through all of us!

In His love,

Rob WinklerSuperintendent, Trinity Christian School

Dear Trinity Christian School Family,

Our new school year is off to an awesome start. Amazing things are happening at Trinity Christian School: our kids are diligently studying, playing sports, becoming worshipers of God, and growing in the love and admonition of the Lord. Success at Trinity cannot just be measured by the changed lives of our kids. The results are immeasurable, because of the impact our kids make throughout their lifetime.

For the past two years we have prayed and planned, working with architects and engineers, as God revealed His master plan to expand and update our school building facilities. Today, we are excited to share with you His plan of Believe – Building for Tomorrow. Believe is based upon Ephesians 3:20 NKJV which says:

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us”.

We are challenged to believe in the vision that God has given us for our Trinity children, to believe that the investment we make in their lives will bring an amazing return not only in them, but in the lives of multitudes they will affect. We believe that once again God is enabling us to raise the standard and see His vision accomplished. The vision that God has given us for new school facilities, right here on our University campus includes:

• New, Modern Elementary School • New Full Sized Elementary Gymnasium • A New Chapel • Renovated Jr. High and Sr. High • New Jr. High and Sr. High Gymnasium plus Expanded Athletic Facilities • New Performing Arts Center • Beautiful, Safe Campus Environment

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.”

Trinity Christian School was birthed in 1977 with the mission of joining hands with parents to “train up children in the way they should go” (Proverbs 22:6). Mrs. Joyce Herron, founder of TCS, institutedthe Trinity Parent/Child Training Center with the intent of not only training children but also their parents. The school grew quickly as additional grades were added until TCS graduated its first class in 1991.

Trinity Christian School moved the 7th-12th grades to a new campus in 1996 at 6701 University Ave. after the purchase and renovation of a shopping strip center and Kmart discount store. An athletic facility (TCS Lion’s Den) was added to the campus in 1998 creating an avenue to host tournaments, camps, and district games bringing community awareness to TCS.

TCS is accredited through ACSI and has been a priceless gift to the community and surrounding area offering an Excellent Education with Biblical Foundation.

TESTIMONIES

“About 15 years ago we brought our first child to Trinity to begin kindergarten. At that time we didn’t realize the impact this decision was going to make on our lives. ….These last 15 years, we have watched our children’s lives grow into bouquets made up of petals that will never fade because of the eternal investment the staff, teachers, and other families have made in our children’s lives…. “

“For the last 9 years we’ve chosen to send our kids to Trinity Christian School. ……Raising kids to love God and seek His will for them is often difficult, but Trinity has been an integral part in helping us teach those things to our kids”.

“…………Teachers and administrators did more than educate our children. They took a personal interest in the emotional and spiritual well-being of each of our children and guided them through a difficult time. TCS exemplifies Christ in education, and that’s why we are committed to TCS - our school of choice”.

“Since we moved to Lubbock four years ago, our family has found a home in Trinity Christian School. The faculty and staff are second to none and genuinely interested in the mental, physical, and spiritual well-being of our four children. …..Trinity School is one of the main reasons why we decided to stay in Lubbock...”

GOD’S VISION & OUR DREAM

The Bible declares “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” This tells us that a heavenly vision is always about people…at Trinity Christian School, this is a vision of seeing young people being equipped to fulfill God’s purpose in their lives; of young people changing their world for God’s kingdom.

It has been said before, “Dream a dream so big, that if God isn’t in it, it will surely fail.” Trinity School family, let’s dream the dream together!

We are already embarking on this exciting journey with the construction of Believe Phase 1 on our University Campus, 4th through 6th grade, to begin Fall 2010. God’s provision, through His people, will determine the size and scope of subsequent phases of our project. We Believe that God is still in the business of performing great things for His people and His glory. He is calling us to partner with Him in this great endeavor.

DOING YOUR PART TO EXTEND THE KINGDOM OF GOD

4 WAYS TO GIVE

Give a Cash GiftConsider ways to give the best one-time gift possible. Perhaps you’ve recently received a bonus at work, an inheritance, or some form of financial abundance and blessing. Rather than simply holding onto the asset, consider investing in God’s work now.

Two Months of TuitionFor families with students still in school, consider giving the amount that you typically pay in tuition during the months of June and July.

Give an AssetThe gift of an asset that you own can have a bigger impact than you might imagine and often provides a favorable tax advantage for you. Consider participating in this project through the gift of appreciated stock, bonds, cars, land, homes or other personal valuables. Remember, your gift will have far-reaching impact, both here and now as well as in eternity. Please contact Terisa Clark at the Trinity business office to discuss the potential benefits of giving an asset.

Gifts in KindQualified Contractors & Service Providers – If you are a qualified contractor or service provider, you may wish to contribute a part of your construction services to the Trinity Christian School Believe construction project. The amount of the gift in kind will be taken into consideration when determining the lowest responsive proposal and best value for Trinity Christian School. Gifts in kind may be tax deductible. If you are interested, please email [email protected].

HOW TO MAKE YOUR COMMITMENT

Each of us has been blessed by the incredible ministry of Trinity Christian School. We now have privilege of extending the ministry to future generations. Blessings follow obedience, so the first step in participating is to seek God’s guidance in your personal commitment. God hears His children’s prayers, and He will guide you as you see His will for you and your family. • Begin today by praying about the amount the Lord would have you give. Be open to His direction. God has often done the biggest things through the least likely people! • In a few weeks, you will receive a commitment card in the mail. Using the commitment card, indicate the total amount you are committing to give and the anticipated timing of your gift. • Mail your commitment card back to Trinity in the envelope provided with the card.

As you begin to seek God, be open to the possibility that He will allow you to step out in faith and make a commitment that you never would have thought possible. Look beyond your current provision and circumstances, and believe that God will allow you to be a vessel of blessing for such a time as this by making the largest gift you have ever made. God wants to use you to bless the generations to come!
