Our History

Created in 1991, the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship emerged as a renewal movement within Baptist life in the United States. In a

post-denominational world, the CBF understood itself as a movement of God

intended to focus upon holistic mission and ministry in the twenty-first century.

Embrace the World“The 21st century is the century of local congregations in global mission. This reality is so obvious to me that it seems foolish to even argue with it. God is working now through local congregations as they engage in hands-on mission experiences across the globe.” Rob Nash, CBF Global Missions Coordinator
