There is something really quite wondrous about large events. Whether you purchase your ticket and join the party or if you are actively involved with its production... with
great events, it feels like they come together as if by magic. But loads of previous hard work and tons of hours are spent crafting each one.
Pacha Group is all about entertainment… offering splendid holidays, extraordinary moments and nights of extravaganza that suddenly and fortunately sometimes seem spontaneous. In reality, everything starts right as the previous season comes to a close in October; overall analysis, brainstorming, ideation for the following season, contracts, refurbishments, reinventions, and rehearsals. A team of approximately one thousand employees formulate some of our best summer dreams. Project managers, lawyers, illustrators, IT, managers, accountants, set designers, and artists. All are equal contributors that factor into the continued success of Pacha Group.
PACHA IBIZA CLUBPacha Ibiza hosts 7 different parties a week, each of them with a decorative theme of its own. Every morning before the nightclub closes, a team of approximately 30 people begin their shift, including maintenance staff, cleaning service, seamstresses, audiovisual engineers, and even a painter that keeps our ibicecenco house impeccably white, plus many other characters that keep the club looking fresh, spotless, and ready to live the real Pacha Ibiza experience again the following evening. The back of house team work just as vigorously as the team ‘in front of the curtains’.
When the night begins and the club doors open, a team of maitres, waiters, runners, hostesses, security guards, artists and dancers abound. Around 250 employees manage everything to create the most memorable nights hosted by the most talented DJs in the industry.
PACHA EVENTSPacha events go beyond all our venues. Our passion is to bring entertainment all across the world, so we take The Cherries on tour frequently to exotic destinations, cosmopolitan cities, and other trendy locations such as Brazil, South Africa, Israel, and India to name just a few.
But what we love the most is to express our gratitude for this Island in the form of a party. So together with Solomun we celebrate our genuine relationship with Ibiza offering a free annual event at the old Port of Ibiza that started in 2014. For 3 days, 25 people work to set up the stage at the port. This rendezvous has become a tradition that everyone is invited to. See you all on September 25th from 20h till midnight to enjoy the King of Sundays performance for free in the most authentic Ibiza scene.

DUO DESTINY: GONÇALO & KINGA >How was Duo Destiny created? When did your career as Duo Destiny begin?
We both started individually our careers as gymnasts, participating at World & European Champions in Acrobatic Sports. In 2015 we started to work together as Duo Destiny.
>Who are your biggest influences? How do you get inspired?
There are many! From music to cinema to other acrobat colleagues and coaches. Each show we work with inspires us in many ways from the content of the show, to the audience and the cities we visit, they all bring something new and inspirational.
>How many hours a day do you train for your show?
We train an average of 2 hours a day and up to 4 when we create new figures for the act. We go to the gym to stay in shape for the act.
This season Lío cabaret features the concept ‘La Fête Sauvage’, bringing the wildest side of more than 20 artists from all around the world in 30 different acts till midnight. Among many of the guest artists that take part in this ferocious journey are Gonçalo and Kinga, better known as Duo Destiny. Meet them below and let them tell you a little more about their backstage life. Enjoy their acrobatic show at Lío until the end of the season!
>How many performances do you do per year?
Good question. Some years we can do more than 300, as often productions have two shows a day, other years are around 200 shows.
>When did your relationship with Lío Ibiza start?
Our first performance at Lío was in 2018 after the Lío creatives saw us at the Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain. After that we also joined for the London run in March 2019 and now we will be at Lío until the Closing.
>Do you ever feel afraid or nervous when you are working?
We are always nervous prior to our opening night at a new venue as the audience and the space are always different. After that we focus on feeling better as we need to concentrate on each trick so the act is seamless to the audience.
>How do you choose your wardrobe?
The final costume for the show is a combination of our choice of costume and the show’s creatives. It has to fit the story of the act as well as it needs to be flexible to allow us to perform. >Any special diet?
As any acrobat we need to look after what we eat to be in shape. We don´t follow a specific diet but we do eat healthy and avoid saturated fat.
>How important is music in your performances?
Music is a very important part of our act as it provides the meaning to the story we want to tell with the act, and provides the mood and the emotion we want the audience to feel.
Let’s get inside Lío’s core to find out what is behind this exciting and extraordinary restaurant cabaret in Ibiza.
Since 2011 around 150 Lío employees work to make every summer night special. From the moment you step into Marina Ibiza district, parking attendants, hosts and hostesses, sommeliers, maitres, waiters, artists, and a team of gastronomic professionals - guided by Head Chef Josetxo Arrieta - are all waiting for you!
Live Lío, an exceptional experience Restaurant - Cabaret - Club. Every night till October 7th. Bookings: [email protected] + 34 971 31 00 22 · www.lioibiza.com

Incredible location, white and sensual Balearic architecture, and picture-perfect views are just the beginning of what you may enjoy whether you are a guest, visitor, or staff member at Destino Pacha Resort.
Destino Pacha Resort requires approximately 250 team members to operate the property with an additional 100 more when the resort is hosting a large event. From crazy open-air parties and dream weddings to private and corporate events, food always plays an important role in the overall experience.
Destino Pacha’s kitchen consists of several staff members including managers, helpers, and stewards. Additional staff connected to the kitchen such as room service, minibars, poolside servers, restaurant servers, and bartenders bring the total to nearly 80 members.
Daniel Barrabés Taylor has been at Destino Pacha Resort since 2014 and became Head Chef this season. He loves teamwork and enjoys getting ready for big challenges.
>How do you get organized for big events?
Staff is the most important part - not only for big events, but for any type of service. I don’t like to face new projects if I won’t be able to count on at least 70% of my trusted staff. Secondly, a good purchasing plan, being precise with the mis en place and a suitable strategy are crucial to create the best atmosphere and make the service as fluid as possible. To finalize, internal and interdepartmental communication are really important.
>Who are the most demanding customers?
This is hard to answer. Nowadays we have to deal with more trained, better informed and much more demanding customers. The quality of the service must represent a strategic opportunity. The idea is to train our staff very well because Destino is positioned in a market where all the guests are very demanding.
>Which is the hardest recipe for you to prepare?
Without a doubt, new recipes in which I have no experience in. At Destino you have to be always ready to cook anything that a customer can ask for.
>What do you rely on to create the menus?
I keep evolving with the new trends but obviosuly all the knowledge acquired through my experience as a Chef makes any challenge a goal in the kitchen. Destino menus are done not just by me but also with each of the members of the team. We are specialists in different things, so I like to design the menus with Carlos Lopez (sous chef), Eva Senserrichc (pastry chef), Carlos Febles (Sushi chef) and Wanda Diaz (breakfast pastry chef). We learn a lot from each other!
>Where do you get the inspiration from? Any chefs?
I learn from all world renowned chefs, they have their own style and identity so they all have aspects that I like to learn from. Also, I love any chef who makes good traditional cuisine such as Sergio Herman, Dani Garcia, Joan Roca, Quique Dacosta, Pellicer, Andoni Luis Aduriz, Marc Gascons, Ricard Camarena, Tetsuya Wakada, Peter Gilmore, Bittor Arginzoniz, Issac Salaberria, Mauro Colagreco, Jordi Roca and Oriol Castro just to name a few. I love pastry and follow Pierre Herme, Frederic Bau, Oriol Balaguer, Paco Torreblanca.
>Essential ingredients for cooking:
Salt and Spanish olive oil >Favourite dish:
Paella (as you can appreciate through my Instagram account - @barradangerous77). >Favorite Cocktail:
Any of them, it is a matter of choosing the best moment for it.
>What do you like the most about being Destino’s Chef?
The deal with the customers: when you have reached or exceeded their expectations, you can see it in their faces. It is very satisfying for the whole team as we all work hard to reach these moments. >If you were not in the culinary industry, what would you be doing?
A pro rider of any water board sport. >What is the difference between being a chef and cook?
The theory says that as a chef you have to be a good leader. Managing all the aspects in the kitchen as well as the administrative aspects. The difference lies in education and experience. A cook is more involved in the practical part of cooking, he is the one who puts into practice the true activity of the business and that is ultimately feeding customers. Anyway, the chef must be a good manager but needs a good team to suceed.
