What are the goals of the ICT4D Conferences?
• Goal: Promote knowledge exchange concerning the use of
technology to improve the quality of relief and development
programs
• Objectives:
– Stimulate learning in digital development among local and international
NGOs, governments, private sector firms, multi-lateral organizations,
foundations, universities and research institutions.
– Highlight technologies and applications which hold most promise in
increasing the efficiency and impact of humanitarian relief and
development programs.
– Increase visibility of the innovative uses of ICTs across all sectors
related to relief and development work.

What is the Theme for the 2017 Conference?
• Examine the use of data to accelerate achievement of the
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the digital development
era
• Build on the ideas and recommendations put forth in the SDG ICT
Playbook published in September 2015, promoted by the UN
Foundation during the 2015 General Assembly and discussed
during the 2016 ICT4D Conference
• Convene a diverse audience of senior executives and technical
advisors to share insights regarding the use of ICT to improve the
impact of development work
• Create a highly participatory environment in which attendees can
share their practical experience in applying technology innovations
to development challenges
• Explore partnerships and business models that make such efforts
sustainable

Support marketing and communications efforts
Distribute communications designed to encourage conference sponsorship and participation across your internal/external networks.
