The Center for Leadership Formation is home to the groundbreaking Executive Education programs from Seattle University’s Albers School of Business and Economics. Our programs equip business professionals to become lifelong leaders with the vision and skills to make a profound impact in their companies and communities.

Great leadership isn’t just aBout what you know. it’s aBout who you are. Globalization, technology and innovation have radically changed the role that business plays in shaping economies and societies around the world. More than ever, commerce has the ability to influence economic, social and environmental trends. Succeeding in this new era will require wise and thoughtful leadership and well-informed, discerning leaders.

At Seattle University, our tradition of educating the whole person means our Executive Education programs do more than boost your business IQ. We combine rigorous instruction in core business concepts with a highly personal exploration of leadership. Students develop the acumen, self-knowledge and vision needed to make strategic decisions at the highest levels of organizations.

Since 1998, our unique programs have helped individuals discover their potential for greatness and become leaders that prove making a profit and promoting justice do not have to be mutually exclusive.

ExEcutivE LEadErship programEight months that change careers and livesThe Executive Leadership Program (ELP) is a professional and personal exploration of leadership. Students get the rare opportunity to discover how they’re perceived, who they want to be as leaders and what leadership means in their lives. While the program serves as the first two quarters of the Leadership Executive MBA (LEMBA), it is also highly respected as a stand-alone certificate program.

The ELP is designed in compact monthly modules that include a residential retreat, advanced experiential learning, team projects, outreach activities and one-on-one executive coaching. Guided by world-class faculty, students reflect on their perspectives, assumptions, beliefs and values. Using that insight, they shape and reshape their approach to leadership and evolve as individuals and as members of a greater community. Students come away with a strong appreciation of how their actions as leaders can effect positive change in their organizations and the world.

LEadErship ExEcutivE mba program graduate-level, rigorous business curriculum with the strategic focus executives need Building on the foundation of the Executive Leadership Program, the high-impact, 20-month Leadership Executive MBA (LEMBA) is intended for executives, experienced professionals and entrepreneurs alike. With broadened awareness and newfound confidence, students go on to master the advanced business principles, tools and practices used by effective leaders in a rapidly changing world. The comprehensive business curriculum includes accounting, finance, economics, marketing and strategy, all delivered from the cross-functional and strategic perspective executives need to drive collaboration, innovation and common purpose.

Seattle University’s LEMBA program places a strong focus on leadership ability, which gives students tremendous advantages throughout their careers and their lives. greatness.m Cultivating an agile, ethical culture that adapts quickly

and nimbly to change.
