The danger of Godspeople

The Lord has shown me in vision some things

concerning the church in its present lukewarm

state, which I will relate to you. The church was

presented before me in vision. Said the angel to

the church: esus speaks to thee, !"e #ealous

and repent.$% This work, I saw, should be taken

hold of in earnest. There is something to repent

of. &orldly'mindedness, selfishness, andcovetousness have been eating out the

spirituality and life of (od$s people.)*T *+*.*

The danger of Gods people

for a few years past hasbeen the love of the world.Out of this have sprung the sins

of selshness andcovetousness. The more theyget of this world, the more they

set their aections on it! andstill they reach out for more.

the last note of warning to the world,are striving with all their energies toplace themselves in a position where

These earthly treasures areblessings when rightly used.

Those who have them shouldreali/e that they are lent them of(od and should cheerfully spendtheir means to advance 0is cause.

They will not lose their reward here.They will +e 'indly regarded +y the

angels of (od and will also lay up atreasure in heaven. 1T 1-1.

the peculiar, selsh,covetous temperament ofsome who profess the truth,

and he will tempt them +ythrowing prosperity in their

The strong love of the world

overcomes, or swallows up,the love of the truth. The'ingdoms of the world are

oered them, and theyeagerly grasp their treasure

and thin' they arewonderfully prospered.

spiritually. They have lived sometime watching to 'eep their+rethren straight@watching for

every fault to ma'e trou+le withthem. 3nd while doing this, theirminds are not on (od, nor on
