Private Education ActThe Private Education Act was legislated in December 2009 to regulate the private education institutions (PEIs) in Singapore. The regulatory regime, as set-out under the Private Education Act and its subsidiary legislation, comprises the Enhanced Registration Framework and the EduTrust Certi�cation Scheme, both administered by the Committee for Private Education (CPE), a part of SkillsFu-ture Singapore (SSG)
Singapore Institute of Management Pte Ltd (SIM PL), in meeting the regulatory requirements under the Private Education Act, has put in place the following:
• Adoption of the standard PEI-Student Contract template from CPE• Allowing students a cooling-o� period of 7 working days after signing the PEI-Student Contract• Protection of Students’ fees under the Fee Protection Scheme• Transparent refund, course transfer, leave of absence and withdrawal policies• Commitment in maintaining the con�dentiality of students’ data

Student PassSingapore Institute of Management Pte Ltd (SIM PL) will only provide assistance to submit the applications and the granting of student’s pass is subject to Immigration and Checkpoints Authority’s (ICA) approval.
Student’s Pass holders are not permitted to engage in any form of employment or attend an industrial attachment/internship programme, whether paid or unpaid, without a valid work pass issued by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).

SIM Diploma graduates who apply for the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Data Science and Business Analytics, but do not have GCE ‘A’ Level Mathematics (or its equivalent), must take up the SIM Bridging Course in Mathematics and achieve a score of 40%.DIB and DMS graduates qualify for Year 2 with exemption from Year 1. DAC, DBF graduates qualify for Year 2 with exemption from Year 1, after successful completion of one Retail Studies module in the SIM Preparatory Course in Retail Marketing.DAC, DBF, DIB and DMS graduates qualify for Year 2 with exemption from Year 1, after successful completion of one Sports Studies module in the SIM Preparatory Course in Sports Studies and Marketing.DIB and DMS graduates qualify for Year 2 with exemption from Year 1.
