BCS Configuration (UCWB)

Consolidation Area / Permanent Parameters

In customizing of the consolidation area, you define the characteristics that act as permanent parameters:

- The version, fiscal year and period are required permanent parameters.- You can define additional permanent parameters, for example the consolidation unit and

consolidation group.- You can choose whether each permanent parameter is displayed in the screen header.- On the Settings tab page, you can define whether the consolidation area is displayed in the

permanent parameters.- Characteristics that are not status relevant are not valid as permanent parameters, for example,

financial statement item, subassignment, transaction type.

Consolidation Area is a data subset of Data Basis. You can select the Fields (Characteristics and Key Figures) that are available in Data Basis.

Field Catalogue

InfoCube for Total Records provides the fields (Characteristics and Key Figures) for Data Model. It’s a real-time cube that allows BCS posts consolidation entries into it. If additional Characteristics or Key Figures are required, select the Catalogues correspondingly.

Source DB: A data basis used for linking data streams and field catalogues, which are intended to serve as the data source in the Consolidation System. You can assign a source data basis to an ordinary data basis for consolidation. When this is done, the fields and data streams declared in the source data basis become available for data collection (for example, in consolidation methods flexible upload and load from data stream).
