As endorsed by the Board of Directors on April 11, 2016 and approved by the Membership on October 1, 2016.

 

Our mission is to promote the conservation, exploration, survey, and scientific 

study of the caves and karst in and around Burnsville Cove, Virginia. 

 

Our vision is that all the caves and karst in and around the Burnsville Cove will be 

protected from damage and will be accessible to responsible cavers. 

 

We will accomplish our mission by: 

1. Acquiring and managing significant caves in and around the Burnsville Cove. 

2. Building strong relationships with local land owners and regional caving 

organizations. 

3. Exploring, studying, mapping, and documenting the caves in and around 

the Burnsville Cove. 

4. Protecting cave and karst biota. 

5. Encouraging scientific study of caves and karst in and around the Burnsville 

Cove. 

6. Attracting, developing, and retaining a strong and active membership. 

7. Developing fiscal resources to further our mission.
