more than one type of pass whilst on the move.• I can demonstrate the ability to dribble successfully with

my stronger hand, and reasonably well with my weaker hand.

6• When attacking, I can demonstrate good technique when dribbling

as well as the ability to deceive a defender by scoring a basket.• I am able to display reliability while defending the ball, coupled

with good awareness of my opponent driving towards the basket.• I know the role of and can play in more than one position,

specialising either as a point guard, centre or power forward.• I am able to play in different types of defense as a team member. • I can assist my teams performance through verbal commands and

communications. • I can give more detailed feedback to improve performance and

analyse.• I am able to lead a safe warm up and cool down, stretching the

correct areas of the body for basketball. • I understand how basketball can benefit a person’s health and

fitness.

the three aspects – dribbling, defending and attacking.• I can show a high level of attacking proficiency using

shooting and lay ups to good effect.• I know the rules of basketball and rarely make mistakes.• I am able to officiate my peers basketball matches • I can make an outstanding contribution to the game.• I have very good knowledge of team tactics and positional

play.• I know which of the major muscles to stretch for basketball• I understand why we warm up and cool down.• I can describe how basketball benefits health and fitness

and can share this in formation with a small group.
