Fr. John Murray, C.Ss.R., was transferred

to Stella Maris in Timonium, MD, this

past November, to receive the care and assistance

he needs. Fr. John has been an active parish priest

in OLPH for several years: celebrating Mass,

directing Bible Study, director of Altar Servers,

among other pastoral ministries. As a son of this

parish, he is an invaluable link to the history of

OLPH for the Redemptorists whose roots are not in

OLPH. We thank Fr. John for his ministry, his

friendship, his pastoral concern and insight. May

Our Lady of Perpetual Help be his joy and strength

in his new community. His new address is: St. John

Neumann Residence, Stella Maris, 2300 Dulaney

Valley Road, Timonium, MD 21093-2739.

The OLPH book for 2021 is I Heard God Laugh – a

practical guide to life’s essential daily habit by

Matthew Kelly. Half memoir, half how-to-do – this

book will help us grow in our personal relationship

with God. Reading alone or as a family will enrich

our prayer as we journey through this New Year

2021. Happy reading!

January 5th is the feast of St. John N.

Neumann, Redemptorist Bishop of

Philadelphia from 1852 till 1860.

January 14th is the feast of Blessed Peter

Donders, Redemptorist missionary in

Surinam from 1841 till 1887. May these

two missionaries pray for the

Redemptorists in their ministry today

and in zealous missionary vocations.

Today’s Feast of the Epiphany

celebrates the manifestation of

the Child Jesus as Redeemer of

all peoples of the world, not just

the Chosen People of God. This revelation is for all of

us. We receive it as Good News for 2021, with hope in

the presence of Emmanuel, God-with-us in these

trying times. Even though our festivities may be

subdued due to the pandemic, with Mary we can

proclaim “My spirit rejoices in God my Savior.” May

2021 bring us health and healing, peace and justice,

love and joy! Happy New Year 2021!

dos misioneros redentoristas intercedan por

la Congregación Redentorista en su

ministerio hoy y con numerosas vocaciones

misioneras.

Las lecturas de la semana del 3 de enero de 2021

La Fiesta de la Epifanía que

celebramos hoy es la

manifestación del Niño Jesús

como Redentor de todos los

pueblos del mundo, no sólo

del Pueblo Escogido de Dios.

Esta revelación es para todos

nosotros. La recibimos como Buena Noticias para el

2021, con esperanza en la presencia de Emmanuel,

Dios-con-nosotros en estos tiempos difíciles. Aunque

nuestras festividades sean un poco restringidas debido

a la pandemia, podemos proclamar con María “Mi

espíritu se alegra en Dios mi Salvador.” ¡Que el año

2021 nos traga salud y sanación, paz y justicia, amor y

gozo! ¡Feliz Año Nuevo 2021!

Ngày Lễ Hiển Linh hôm nay kỷ niệm cố Chúa Hài Nhi

Giêsu - Đấng Cứu Thế đã tỏ mình ra không chỉ cho Dân

Riêng Chúa chọn mà cho mọi dân tộc trên toàn cõi địa

cầu. Sự mặc khải này dành cho tất cả chúng ta. Chúng ta

đón nhận nó như một Tin mừng cho năm 2021, với hy

vọng có sự hiện diện của Đấng Emmanuel, Thiên Chúa ở

cùng chúng ta trong những thời điểm khó khăn này. Mặc

dù các ngày lễ của chúng ta có thể bị giảm bớt do đại

dịch, nhưng cùng với Mẹ Maria, chúng ta có thể hân hoan

ca ngợi Chúa: “Thần trí tôi hớn hở vui mừng trong Đức

Chúa là Đấng Cứu Độ tôi”. Nguyện xin năm 2021 sẽ

mang lại cho chúng ta sức khỏe dồi dào và ơn chữa lành,

sự bình an và công lý, tình yêu và niềm vui! Chúc mừng

năm mới 2021!

Cuốn sách mà giáo xứ Đức Mẹ HCG chọn cho mọi người

trong giáo xứ đọc và suy niệm trong năm 2021 có tựa đề

là “Tôi đã nghe thấy Chúa cười - I Heard God Laugh” -

đây là một hướng dẫn thiết thực về thói quen hàng ngày

cần thiết trong cuộc sống của tác giả Matthew Kelly. Một

nửa cuốn sách là hồi ký, một nửa là sự hướng dẫn - cuốn

sách này sẽ giúp chúng ta phát triển mối quan hệ cá nhân

của mỗi người chúng ta với Chúa. Chúng ta có thể đọc

một mình hoặc đọc chung với gia đình. Nó sẽ làm phong

phú thêm lời cầu nguyện của chúng ta khi chúng ta bắt

đầu bước chân vào hành trình của Năm Mới 2021. Chúc

Neumann, Giám mục Dòng Chúa Cứu Thế tại Giáo

Phận Philadelphia từ năm 1852 đến năm 1860. Ngày

14 tháng Giêng là ngày lễ của Chân phước Phêrô

Donders, nhà truyền giáo Dòng Chúa Cứu Thế ở

Surinam từ năm 1841 đến năm 1887. Xin hai nhà

2020年1月3日：圣诞期第二主日（主显节）

1. 今天是主显节，我们庆祝婴孩耶稣显现为全世界人类的救主，不

仅仅是天主拣选的人。这个启示是为我们所有的人。在这个困难

的时期，怀着对厄玛努尔---天主与我们同在临在的希望，我们

收到它作为2021年的好消息。尽管由于冠状病毒的流行，我们的

庆祝活动可能被减弱，但是，我们可以与圣母玛利亚一起宣布

“我的灵魂欢乐与上主，我的天主。”愿2021年带给我们健康和

治愈，和平与正义，爱和欢乐！2021年快乐！

2. 2021年永助圣母堂推荐的书是,《我听到上主的笑声——生活的

基本日常习惯的实用指南》，玛窦·凯勒著。一半回忆录，一半

是如何做——这本书将帮助我们与天主私人关系的成长。在度过

2021年新年的旅程时，独自阅读或与家人一起阅读，将丰富我们

的祈祷。阅读快乐！

3. 永助圣母堂2021年瞻礼单已经准备好了，弥撒后，欢迎大家弥撒

后领取。

4. 1月5号是赎主会会士圣若望·纽门主教的纪念日，从1852年到

1860年，他是费城教区的主教。1月14号是赎主会真福伯多禄·

唐德的纪念日。从1841年到1887年他在苏里南做福传工作。愿这

两位传教士为今天的赎主会会士的福传工作祈祷，也为热心的福

传圣召祈祷。
