North Indian Style is in use from Kashmir toCentral India. Northern Indian chart is the one in whichthe order of the houses is fixed. It consists of four centralrhomboidal houses [which are numbered I, IV, VII and Xstarting from the upper central rhomboid] and eighttriangular houses. The sign rising at the time of birth ismarked in the first house or the upper central rhomboid, and the remaining sign marked in the regular order in an

    anti clockwise direction.

In above figure, Sagittarius {Dhanu} has been taken as ascendant [lagan] and is given atthe top central point. Hence, Sagittarius is the First house, Capricorn in the Second house,Aquarius as third house, Pisces as in fourth house and so on.

In this method, the position of any house can be known at a glance and no counting fromthe ascendant is needed. Thats why this method is very popular in India.

    2. The South Indian Style:-

The south Indian chart has the sign in a

fixed order in the chart. The lagana is marked inthe appropriate sign. The remaining houses arecounted in a clockwise manner. It may be notedthat the top column at the extreme left is alwaysthe sign poses, and then it moves right hand sideclockwise. In this style no numerical or names ofrashis are given in the chart to indicate theplacement of signs [rashis] because sign are fixedand this understood automatically. However, theascendant and the planets are duly mentioned inthe sign occupied by them in chart. A diagonal line is drawn in the house where the laganoccurs. i.e. Virgo [Kanya] is lagna in the chart given below:-

The astrological chart is the exact chart of the heavens showing the various planets, asthey could be seen in the heavens at that particular time, and from that particular place on earth. If an astronomical chart were to be constructed of that time, indeed all the planets andconstellations would be visible in the sky same as shown in the astrological chart.

Predictive astrology is an immense catalogue of cause and effects of the variouspositions, combinations of the planets and constellations that have been found to influence allaspects of life and civilization through the ages. Fundamentally, a person comes into existence ata specific time, at a specific place. This is the first time that person comes in direct contact withthe external world and its surroundings, radiations, waves of the various planets and othercelestial entities. Therefore, there is this specific chart showing the positions and combination ofplanets that were in effect for that person, and that chart is called the birth-chart. Its like a uniqueand natural identification for that individual.

    PLACE OF BIRTH AND TIME

The standardization method of sun rising time has shown that the sunrise time varies

from place to place. Just as the warmth of the sunlight, and length of the day differs at differentlatitudes and longitudes the view of the planets, and consequently, their influence too varies fromplace to place. With the place of birth, the positional coordinates get fixed for the exact planetaryand celestial combinations for that particular place (location) on the globe.

The birth chart may be though of as the photo of the position of planets and theconstellation frozen at the time of the persons birth. For the sake of simplicity, the observablesky above the earth is represented as a square or a circular apace and divided into 12 parts. Each part is called a house.

Taking the Sun as the major observable planet (interchangeably called star forastrological purpose) around which our conventions were made, each house represents anaverage of 2-hour period. Thus, these 12 houses represent the 24-hour movement of the Sun in

relation to the earth at any given time and place on earth.

For this reason, in astrology, the place of birth, the date & time of birth are of vitalimportance. This data should be as accurate as possible to cast a correct birth chart.

Like with any other science, the accuracy of the input data is very essential to getaccurate output results in this case accuracy predictions. Many astrologers do not bother tocheck the accuracy of the birth-chart and if the birth-chart they have used for predictions isinaccurate, the predictions are bound to be wrong. This simple fact cannot be emphasizedenough.

    CONSTELLATIONS

On a clear night, many stars are visible. A constellation is a group of stars. Many ofthese stars have always been observed together, in a group in a particular formation. Many ofthese star groups resemble some sort of a shape ;or from that humans sensibly and culturallyidentify with. For example, some groups seen together resemble the shape of a fish or a bull. The observable constellations were grouped together and roughly 2 of each constellation isgrouped under some recognizable and predominant characteristic associated by us humans andcalled a Sign (of the Zodiac) or a Rasi.

    CONSTITUTION OF CHARTS

The chart itself is a composition of three layers superimposed on each other, having arelationship to each other and giving meaning to each other. The chart is the simplifiedrepresentation of the sky, divided into 12 parts. There are twelve constellation-signs in thezodiac; so each sign must get representation on the chart. This chart is like a plan of the skymade on paper. The plan of the sky is divided in 12 parts. Each part is called a house (orBhava); the top most space is called the First house.

Each house has been allotted to represent an area of activity in our life for instancemother and mother related events to the 4th house, marriage and life partner to the 7th house andso on. Detailed list of main subjects to be considered under each house is given in furtherchapters of this course

The central, top most space in the chart is the First house. Then, working anti-clockwise

    is the 2nd

    house, the 3rd

house, the fourth house and so on. The position of each house is fixed.

This plan of the sky on paper is the first layer of your birth chart. This consists of a chartwith 12 fixed positions, called the houses. Mind you, the house numbers are not actually writtenin the houses because the notation of the houses, beginning from the first house, is always fixedby convention and therefore not written into the chart.

Note: These numbers indicating the House number are not given on the chart and their

placement is always fixed in each drawing of the chart. From your date, time of birth and place of birth, the rising sign on the ascendant is

calculated, this is the rising Sign of the zodiac that was there in the eastern horizon particularly atthat date, time and particular place. Since the signs of the zodiac are also in a fixed sequence, the rest of the zodiac belt can also be written down. This is the second layer of the birth chart.

Superimpose the second layer on the first layer. Being with the first house of the chartand write the sign-number of the rising sign in the First house (North Indian System). Workinganti-clockwise o the chart, complete the sequence of the rest of the signs of the zodiac. Forinstance, if the rising sign of a person is Scorpio (sign no. 8), put down the numeral 8 in the firsthouse of the chart. Next, working anti-clockwise put down the other signs in sequence, e.g.,Sagittarius (no. 9) in second house, Capricorn (no. 10) in third house and so on till Libra (i. e.,

HOW DO THE PLANETS COME IN ALL THIS

The daily movement of the all the planets is calculated and recorded in book form calledthe Ephemeris oralmanac orPanchang.

From the almanac, you can get the pre-calculated position of each and every planet forany particular day in the relevant year. The position is given in terms of Signs or Rashis. Forinstance, Mars may be shown as traversing through Aries. It means that on that particular day,the position of Mars was coinciding with the position of the constellation-sign Aries. ThusMars issaid to be in Aries. This may be verified by any astronomical laboratory or from the data issued innewspapers. The system of tracking and marking the position of heavenly bodies is the same inAstronomy and Astrology.

Once the position of each planet is known, enter each of them with the appropriate sign inthe chart (for instance, from our above example, enter Mars on the sign of Aquarius, and so on). This is the third layer of the chart. With the three layers in position, it completes our chart.

A chart constructed from date of birth, time of birth and place of birth is called the Birth-Chart. There is much scope for research and expansion on the calculation side of casting the

horoscope, because science has no limits, but whatever progress has been made so far on thecalculation side can be deemed to be sufficient for making predictions correctly to a great extent.Though most calculations have been computerized, some of the very minute and specificcalculations have not yet been programmed into any software.

It is to be appreciated that most people have come to depend solely on computer-madehoroscope and yearly charts because they are cheaper and easily available. While on the subjectof computer-made horoscopes, it has to be understood clearly that one must not depend, underany circumstance, on the predictions given by computers, because they are more stereotypethan unique.

Experience has it that analysis of the computerized software in matchmaking; businesspartnership, litigation and political opposition/competition have been found to be rather

misguiding and sometimes far removed from reality. Thus, though there is no harm in getting a horoscope made by a good computer software,

if would be in ones best interest to have the predictions read from an expert astrologer. Bear inmind that computers software is the creation of the HUMAN BRAIN. On the other hand nothingso far can synthesize the experience and knowledge of a human mind.

Further, just like the 12 houses, the Zodiac too has twelve signs, each broadlyoccupying one of the houses by serial system (continuity of rotation). In Indian, thesesigns of the Zodiac are known as the twelve Rashis . These twelve signs of Zodiac(Rashis) rise in the eastern horizon by regular rotation and thus complete one full roundin 24 hours.

The primary element in the study of a chart is the Ascendant (Lagna), the first house.During the 24 hours of the day and night, all the 12 houses take rotation, which roughly allocates2 hours per house. But each houses not have exactly 2 hours duration, because the durationdepends on the latitude and longitude of the place for which the chart is being cast. Positions ofthe planets in the 12 houses, it maybe found that a planet has shifted from one house to another, which can be either forward or backward.

Thus it has to be clearly understood that accuracy of predications would primarily dependon the accuracy of the determination of the sign of zodiac (Rasi) rising in the Eastern Horizon atthe time of birth or putting a question. The Sign of the zodiac rising (or present) on the EasternHorizon is known as the Lagna or Ascendant. Once the Ascendant (Lagna) has beendetermined, the chart is cast and the planetary positions are shown according to the Sign of thezodiac (Rasi) occupied by each planet at that time of birth or putting a question.

For attaining greater accuracy, the astrologer should then go further into calculating theinter-relationship of the planets vis--vis their permanent relationship, their positions indissections of the birth chart known as Hora chart (division into ), Dreshkana chart (division into

one third i.e., 10 upon 30), Saptansha chart (division 7 upon 30), Navamsha chart (division: 9upon 30), Dwadasansa chart (division: 12 upon 30), Trinsansa chart (division: one upon 30), andShasatyansa chart (division: upon 30). (You will learn in STANDARD COURSE).

The computer horoscope contain many other charts, but they are intended to increase thevolume of the horoscope rather than for actual utility in the study of horoscope, because hardly

one or two among one thousand astrologers have the competence to study and make genuineuse of those charts relating to some specific point.

For reaching much greater accuracy in predictions, two more charts are essentiallyneeded. They relate to aspect of the planets on the 12 Houses and other one is inter-planetaryaspecting, commonly known as the Grah drishti. Ashtak Varga of the planets-and-the-ascendant are also useful for reaching greater accuracy in prediction. (Youll learn inSTANDARD COURSE)

As in the case of family doctors, it is often advisable to have a family astrologer. Because, however learnt and experienced the astrologer, he/she would be more accurate in the predictionsand about the point of time, if the astrologer has knowledge of the background and surroundingcircumstances of the person requiring consultations.

There are three main styles prevailing in India, which have traveled to other countries andcontinents. In India they are known as the North Indian style, East Indian style and South Indianstyle (As discussed earlier). Here we will learn only North Indian style, as it is easier tounderstand.

    THE BHAVAS (HOUSES)

The twelve bhavas (houses) of your horoscope represent the totality of the externalconditions of your existence as experienced by the internal states of your mind, includingparticularly your emotions, which influence and are influenced by those outer conditions. Internalexperience is often disproportionate to external environment; being rich will not necessarily makeyou happy, nor will being poor doom you to being miserable. Bhavas are the cosmic loons onwhich the grahas weave the tapestry of your life from the yarn of your karmas. They suggest tothe Astrologers what advantages or disadvantages will be available to an individual in the variousarenas of life, and what he or she will do with these.

IN THIS LESSON, WE WILL DISCUSS ONLY THE BASIC NATURE OF HOUSES. IN THE COMINGLESSONS, WE WILL TAKE ALL 12 HOUSES ONE BY ONE AND DISCUSS THEM IN DETAILS.

    FIRST HOUSE

First house as microcosm applies to everythingin the horoscope; any planet that affects the ascendant(by occupying or aspecting it or, to a lesser degree, byconjoining or aspecting the first lord) will contribute itsqualities to all parts of the natives life.

    SECOND HOUSE

The second house is often taken as theextended family, in the almost undifferentiated sense ofpeople close to you, an indication, which is derivedfrom the proximity of the second house to the first.More properly, though, it indicates those to whom youare related by blood, marriage or adoption. This group, which changes over the course of a lifetime, can atvarious times include your parents, uncles and aunts, cousins, brothers and sisters, spouse, children and in-laws. A poorly placed Saturn in the second house canindicate a lifelong tendency to be separated or isolatedfrom this ongoing family.

    THIRD HOUSE

Most authorities take the third house to mean allbrothers or sisters, but one school takes the eleventh tobe the indicator of older siblings. Although the formerview is more classical, the latter has been so frequentlypresented by modern native writers on Jyotish that it isnow almost universal in India. Many learned

traditionalists, though, still determine the number ofsiblings and their attributes and experience from anexamination of the condition of the third house.Servants, who are often treated as extensions of the

family, are indicated by the third house because it is the second house away from the secondhouse.

The third house represents both the conscious mind and the arms and hands and, whenthe mind and hands function together coordinately, skill arises, which may become greatprowess. The third house also represents communication that is done with the hands, such aswriting and sign language.

    FOURTH HOUSE

Fourth house is associated with inner matterslike happiness, the satisfaction of the emotions; with theprivate life as opposed to the public life (the unseen skyversus the seen sky); with land, as opposed to sky; withwells (water below the earth); with ones domicile andsleeping, because at midnight most people are asleep,as natural circadian rhythms would encourage; withagriculture, things planted in (below) the earth; and with

treasures of the hidden (buried) variety. The fourth represents that education which

comes from parents and other ancestors (the formationof attitudes) and, by extension, from society in its role as parent (the educational system).

    FIFTH HOUSE

North Indian Astrologers take this to be thehouse of formal education, since strong intelligence isoften necessary for higher education, but many peopleobtain advanced degrees from venerable institutionswithout actually learning anything, and many well-

educated people may lack formal education. Thougheducation and intelligence often do correlate, it seemsbetter to take the fourth house for education and thefifth for intelligence. The fifth house also rules teaching, the ability to educate, which is way it is associated withdisciples and students.

Another pervasive fifth house theme is that of creativity, be it procreation (creation ofchildren) or creation of art, poetry or music, for both children and artists value spontaneity, amusement and fun. The fifth house being a house of dharma, it is associated with spirituality inits religious context

    SIXTH HOUSE

Although the sixth house is not directlyconnected with healing as such, its association withdisease means that planets which are beneficiallyplaced in the sixth house may indicate individuals whobenefit from ill-health, like healers, doctors, massagetherapists, dietitians, rehabilitation therapists and thelike. The sixth house rules debt because it is eighthouses away from the eleventh house, and because itis a reflection house of the twelfth house ofexpenditure, which can drive one into debt.

The sixth house is also associated with routinesand habits, both productive and unproductive, possibly because after sunset both the light of dayand the brilliance of sunset are gone but it is not yet time for bed, so ordinarily there is nothingout-of-the-ordinary to do; all is routine.

    SEVENTH HOUSE

The seventh house is particularly linked tobusiness partnerships because the seventh house ofpartnership is ten houses away from the tenth house of

business. It also represents the spouse and maritalstatus of individual.Because the first house indicates the birthplace

and the seventh house is furthest from the first, theseventh indicates places far away from the birthplace, which leads Parashara to say that when the lord of thefirst house is in the seventh, the person will have hisprosperity far away from home, all other factors beingequal. Of course, the seventh also represents onesown home to some extent, being as it is the fourth house away from the fourth house.

    EIGHTH HOUSE

The sixth house indicates debt, while the eighthusually indicates bankruptcy. Both the sixth andseventh houses also represent litigation, but eighth-house litigation often involves severe legal difficultiesthat may destroy your life through long-termimprisonment, financial ruin, or humiliation by scandal.

One well-known modern Astrologer associatesthe eighth house with traditional recitation of Indiassacred or classical Sanskrit knowledge; we have foundthis to be an accurate attribution, and perhaps yetanother indication of the reflection meaning of the

second house, which governs oral forms of knowledge. The eighth house (by being both thesecond house to the seventh house and a reflection of the horoscopes second house) mayrepresent immediate support to a newly married woman.

    NINTH HOUSE

The ninth house is generally associated withgood luck and fortune, an association which iscompounded by its being a house of dharma. The ninthhouse yields elegant and rightful prosperity andsuccess that seem aptly bestowed awards for previousefforts. The rare meaning of loss of or change in careerseems to arise from its position as twelfth house fromthe tenth house, and should be assumed to be likelyonly when the ninth is severely afflicted.

The ninth is the most important, by being themost advanced, of the dharma houses, so here dharmais applied in a purer, more spiritual way. Being a reflection of the third house, but higher in thezodiac and in the sky, the ninth house stands both for purity of mind and for religion, which issupposed to purify the soul.

The ninth house represents the guru because it represents the being with whom you willhave opportunities to enjoy satsanga; a severely afflicted ninth house may give you a false orfallen guru, with whom you will enjoy kusanga. The ninth house represents the father for South

Indian Astrologers, perhaps because in that society the ideal to this day is that the father is theguru to his children. The ninth can also indicate progeny (being fifth from the fifth) and thespouses brothers (being third from the seventh).

    TENTH HOUSE

The tenth house, the highest point in theheavens visible to an observer, the place where planetsreach their zenith, represents the zenith of human

experience. Just as ninth represents the peakexperience of dharma, the tenth is the peak ofArtha, and the eleventh the peak of Kama. The tenth house, therefore, often indicates the professions, which aregenerally regarded as being superior to employmentand other careers as ways to earn money. Peoplenormally secure any fame, honor or status indicated bythe tenth house in their horoscope via their careers or

as a result of their authority. The tenth house, the strongest of the Kendra houses, is a house ofa action, and when it is associated with certain planetary combinations it can cause the native torenounce career, and often action in general, for religious reasons.

    ELEVENTH HOUSE

Eleventh House represents gain, wealth, elderbrother, sister, ambitions, and wishes. Examination ofthe eleventh house is most important when there is aquestion of recovery from illness, particularly a long-standing one. The eleventh house also represents:your paternal uncle (being third from the ninth); yourchilds wife (seventh from the fifth); your motherslongevity (eighth from the fourth); your employerswealth (second from the tenth); your enemys enemy(being sixth from the sixth; your enemys enemy is your

friend); and being a government minister (being areflection of the fifth).

    TWELFTH HOUSE

The twelfth house of the horoscope representslosses of all kinds to the native. The twelfth houserepresents bed comforts because sleep is a loss ofconsciousness, and because sex is a loss of semenand other bodily fluids. It stands for enemies andimprisonment because it reflects the sixth house.

The twelfth can represent charity, financial loss,or speculative investments, which involve a short-termloss but may result in a long-term gain. The twelfthhouse puts great emphasis on alien lands because it isthe ninth house (a house of long-distance travel) from

the fourth house of home.Completing of this existence implies the beginning of a new existence, so the twelfth also

indicates the destination of the soul after death, be it heaven, hell, or the various other worlds.Since the twelfth is the last ofMoksha houses, this after-death state may be Moksha that releasefrom manifested existence, which is freedom from the need to exist.

    BHAVA KARAKAS

The meanings of any house are principle influenced by two planets: its ruler and itskaraka. While a karaka (Significator) is the planet, which rules the matter under consideration, abhava karaka is a planet that has great natural affinity with many of the primary matters ruled by

whatever house is under consideration. For instance, because both Jupiter and the fifth house.Similarly, since both the ninth house and the Sun rule the father, the Sun is a Significator of theninth house. Everything a human being can experience is ruled by one or other of the planetsand, because a planet becomes the karaka of what it rules, each planet may be the Significatorfor a wide variety of things. Many of the ruler- ships assigned to the planets in Chapter Four arein fact statements of planetary significations.

The most common house Significator (bhava karakas) include:

FIRST HOUSE: Sun (health and vitality)

SECOND HOUSE: Jupiter (wealth and family)

THIRD HOUSE: Mars (younger siblings, courage, enterprise)

FOURTH HOUSE: Moon (the mother, emotions), Venus (vehicles), Mercury (education),Mars (property)

FIFTH HOUSE: Jupiter (children, speculation, statecraft, advice, intuition, condition ofprevious karmas, discernment)

SIXTH HOUSE: Mars (acute disease, litigation, bodily afflictions) and Saturn (debt, chronic disease)

SEVETH HOUSE: Venus (marriage, other relationships, passion)

EIGHTH HOUSE: Saturn (unnatural desires, death/longevity, wills and legacies, accidents, bankruptcies, sudden unexpected torment and loss, chronicdisease)

NINTH HOUSE: Jupiter (preceptors, higher education, spiritual quests, charity, good orbad fortune) and Sun (the father, the soul)

TENTH HOUSE: Mercury (commerce), Sun (government, authority, fame), Saturn(tradition, employment), Jupiter (professions)

ELEVENTH HOUSE: Jupiter (elder siblings, friends, gains)

TWELFTH HOUSE: Saturn (segregation, solitude, losses)

    K ENDRA A ND K ONA HOUSES

HOUSES 1 4 7 10 are the Kendra (angular) bhavasHOUSES 1 5 9 are the kona (trinal) bhavas

Because the first house is both an angular house

and a trinal house, it is given the pre-eminent placeamong the twelve houses of a horoscope. The angularbhavas (Kendra) indicate conscious, self-initiated actions, while the trinal (trikona, or simply kona) bhavas indicateunconscious actions. When these qualities unite in anindividual there is congruence: such people actconsistently in a particular direction on both theconscious and unconscious levels of their being. Congruent behavior produces maximum resultsin life. Certain connections between the trinal and angular houses in a horoscope are thereforeextolled by the majority of Astrologers.

The third house tendsto produce only slight fear, usually in relation to minordebts, which makes the other three bhavas much moremalevolent than third. These three are referred to bythe special term trik (House 6th, 8th, 12th)

Upachaya means improvement. Certainastrological combinations involving these houses improveones condition in life. These combinations will beconsidered later in the Standard Course, as will someseeming contradictions in the classifications of thebhavas (e.g., how the third and sixth houses cansimultaneously be bhavas of both suffering andimprovement).

Among theforemost factors to be considered in longevity analysisare the two-maraka houses, their lords, any planetsoccupying these two houses, and any planetsconjoined with or aspected by the lords of the secondand seventh houses. Certain combinations in ahoroscope, such as when the lord of one maraka

    IMPORTANT NOTES

HERE ARE SOME IMPORTANT TIPS AND RULES REGARDING THE ANALYSIS

OF HOROSCOPE, WHICH YOU MAY NOT UNDERSTAND IN FIRST READING. BUT JUST

READ IT AND TRY TO KEEP IN MIND. READ THEM AGAIN AFTER THE COMPLETIONOF MODULE TWO.

The first house and the planets, which influence it indicate the profession you have aninclination or talent for, while the tenth house, a Kendra like the first, represents the actualprofession you pursue.

The seventh house to any house reflects many of the original houses meanings. While thethird house rules the conscious mind, the ninth represents the wisdom of the higher mind; thetenth is a house of the public, as is the fourth to some extent. The sixth house rules sickness, and the twelfth hospitals and isolation. One reason this mirroring effect occurs may be thatany planet seven houses away from a house aspects that house.

One of the fundamental meanings ascribed to the eight house is longevity, the number eightis consistently associated in Jyotish with longevity, The eighth house away from any housetherefore indicates a limitation to the duration of effect of the matters of that house. Countingeight houses from the eighth house gives us the third house, which becomes a sort ofderivative eighth house. Similarly, since the sixth house is a house of disease, the eleventhhouse, being the sixth, becomes a derivative house of disease. The ninth house, being fifthfrom the fifth, likewise becomes a derivative house of children.

Since houses 6, 8 and 12 from the lagna are bad houses, and all the rest are basically good,

the sixth, eighth, or twelfth house from any house often causes trouble to that house.Because the twelfth house of a horoscope is the house of loss, the twelfth that bhavaindicates. Because the third and eighth houses of a horoscope are houses of longevity, thetwelfth house counted from the eighth house i.e. the horoscopes seventh house and thetwelfth from the third house i.e. the horoscopes second house) and become the houses ofloss of longevity, or death. This is another reason why the second and seventh houses aremarakas. Because the third house is twelve houses away from the fourth house, it mayrepresent the end of residency or home (which means a move). It might also represent theend of the mother, or the partition of property.

The sixth house from any house also holds ominous implications for that house. When thefifth lord sits in the tenth house it occupies the sixth house away from the house it rules.

Normally planets that occupy the tenth house should give good results, since the tenth is agood house; but the lord of a house in the sixth from its own house should give bad results. This contradiction can usually (but not always) be reconciled by dividing the matters indicatedby the fifth house into two classes: living beings (like children) and everything else (likeintelligence, or speculation). The position from the lagna (the tenth house = a good house =good results) will tend to predominate for all indications of the fifth house other than livingbeings, which means that those things will tend to prosper. For living beings, however, theposition of the house lord vis-a vis the house (tenth house = sixth from fifth = bad results)tends to predominate, suggesting difficulty begetting progeny, or problems with thosechildren.

Here is a general rule: When the lord of a house is in a good house as counted from the lagna

and a bad house (sixth, eighth or twelfth) as counted from the house it rules, there will be atendency for everything indicated by that house (except for living beings) to be initiallyobstructed and then to be rectified, while the living beings indicated by that house will tend tobe more permanently disturbed.

When Mars for instance affects the ascendant, it colors all aspects of life with Martian colors, and so may give courage tinged with irritability, potentially aggressive behavior such asinsulting speech, a Martian profession, Mars-related illnesses, and the like. When, however,Mars influences only the fifth house and but will not necessarily express those thoughts inwords, because the fifth house rules intellect but does not rule speech.
