IntroductionBarOn Emotional Quotient Inventory: Youth Version (BarOn EQ-i:YV™) assesses the emotional and social functioning of youths aged 7 to 18, providing an estimate of their underlying emotional and social intelligence. This report renders information about the respondent's emotional and social functioning in terms of obtained scores. The total score and scale scores are presented as standard scores. A standard score in the range of 90 to 110 indicates effective emotional and social functioning. A score greater than 110 suggests the presence of enhanced emotional and social skills, while a score of less than 90 suggests that emphasis should be placed on enriching skills in that area. The information provided in this report should be used as an interpretive guide for the purpose of generating hypotheses about the respondent's current emotional and social functioning. These results should be used in combination with collateral information such as reports from other assessment instruments, academic records, behavioral observations, and information provided directly by the respondent. Please refer to the BarOn EQ-i:YV™ Technical Manual for a detailed description of the instrument, including its development, validation, and the construct it measures.
