We would like to invite your club to the fourth edition of Barcelona Cup, a one-day international tournament that takes place in Barcelona the 4th of August 2012. Place Montjuïc swimming pool “Piscines Municipals de Montjuïc” at the Montjuïc Mountain in Barcelona, Spain. This is a fabulous outdoor Olympic swimming pool built for the 1992 Olympic Games diving events. It has a seating capacity of 4.100 spectators and has breathtaking panoramic views of the city, which makes it a very demmanding site for water events and even film shootings. Date Saturday 4th of August 2012 Time 08:00h Games will start at 08:45h. The games will be over at around 18:30h. Participants The Cup is open to all teams in female and male category. Swimming Pool The swimming pool measures (25.0 m. x 25.0 m.) will be reduced using temporary lanes to 25.0m / Width: 10.0 m. Depth: 5.0 m. Baskets are hooked to the wall. Rules CMAS UWR rules will apply, with exception of “Special rules”. Playing and pause time will be adjusted depending on the number of participating teams.

Game schedule The game schedule depends on the number of participating teams. Game time is approximately 12 minutes ineffective (depends on number of teams), and a minimum of 4 games per team is guaranteed. The final game schedule will be sent out by e-mail to the contact person for each team. Advance Registration Advanced registration can be made by sending an e-mail to bcnrugby_sub@yahoo.es Attaching the letter properly filled in. The deadline for registering is the 22nd of April 2012. Entry fee & Deadline payment 200 EUR per team – until 8TH of June 2012. Referees Every team has to provide two referees. (Named upon registration). The team registering will have to pay 30 € for each referee not provided. Fine for referee absence is 30 € per referee per game. Protest Protest fee is € 40. Any written protest must be submitted to the Tournament Management within 30 minutes after the corresponding game ends. If the protest is favourable the fee will be refunded. Exclusion of liability Taking part in this Cup takes place at one own risk. The hosting club and collaborating institutes will not be considered liable for any personal or material damages or loss. Funicular of Montjuic: Take the funicular of the metro station Parallel (Direction Av Miramar) Dinner & Fiesta Dinner will be held in a restaurant close to the beach, featuring an international cuisine menu and a cheerful atmosphere. After dinner participants will have the possibility either to continue the party at this place or head off to the beach where we will be able to take our own drinks.
