My Dear RCA Family,

Saying & Boasting is nothing. Doing is everything.

October 2016 was very exciting & most memorable for RCA. The RCA Awards Ceremony

2016 was conducted & presented in a fitting manner & was possible only because of all

your participation & involement. The awards were given to highly deserving personalities

& offcourse in RCA's own style.

The month of November is going to be more excisting, as it is going to bring the “Joy of

Giving” to all of us. The Rotary Foundation is a solid platform from which numerous

humanitarian projects have been commissioned with the help of donors from all over. The

Rotary Foundation knows no boundaries and serves humanity in areas that need

intervention. As we approach a world rid of Polio, we have every reason to be proud and this accomplishment would not have been

possible without the Foundation. TRF has touched millions of lives since inception and this is the 100th year. This is a very special

year, lets join hands to celebrate the accomplishments of the past and to celebrate the joy of giving. Let us also make plans for the

future to make our TRF stronger so we can touch and enrich more lives.

This Bulletin gives the glimpses of our performance in the month of September & October, apart from the finer details of the

November & December Programs. Kindly take note of the same & make it convenient to attend all of them.

The Rotary Movement is for Strong Friendship & Good Service. So, lets work well & willingly. Join me to Enjoy Rotary & Serve

In this Rotary New Generation Month & on the eve of International Day for Peace,

We conducted a Debate at our Weekly meeting on the topic

“Is Religious, Internation and Econmic Peace possible by 2030 in India”

The venue was Loyola College

In the beautiful lawns of The Gymkhana Club, We had a 2nd Family Fellowship

We are Proud to say that Rotary Club of Adyar was the participating club at this event.

EventTree Plantation - TIST

17th September, 2016

Inner Wheel Club of Adyar conducted a mega tree plantation. Five other clubs namely Inner Wheel Club of Madras,

Metro, Esplande, Ashok Nagar joined Inner Wheel Club of Adyar for this Tree Planting Project.

This is the 10th year in succession of this ongoing project in collaboration with TIST, a prominent organization helping in

re forestation. Till date we have planted more than 40,000 trees in various places in Tamil Nadu.

2000 Red Sanders at the cost of 70,000/- were planted in the field belonging to Thiru Duraikannam & family in the village

Mei Peru Manallur 12 Kilometers from Kanchipuram.

The project was inaugurated by officials from forest department. Inner Wheel members eagerly followed by planting,

sapling with a lot of joy. It was a celebration with nature and enriching our mother earth.

This Project was Friendship and Service at its best.

The Innerwheel Club of Adyar hosted a Dandia Night for the ladies on September 23rd at the Alumini club. The event was

a fundraiser for various charities supported by the clubs.

The dj's mix kept every body on the dance floor through the evening. The women were dressed in their colourful best, in

Lehengas n saris.

There were stalls for food and shopping, from handmade to homemade, and a smattering of the bigger companies,

including Efif Diamond Jewellery n Nalli silks. Altogether, it was a joyous celebration of the festive season of navratri.
