Banoffee (for 10)

450g gingernuts/digestives, crushed in food processor150g melted margarine2 tbsp golden syrup2 tins sweetened condensed milk4 med-large bananas1 pt whipping cream, whipped1 flake, crumbled

The day before making it, stand the unopened tins of condensed milk in a large pan of simmering water for 3 hours. Remove and cool.

Mix crushed biscuits into the melted margarine and golden syrup and press into bottom of tin.

Slice bananas and place on the base.

Carefully spread the condensed milk over the bananas.

Top with the whipped cream and sprinkle over flake.
