River Bann Bridge
Banbridge Town lies on the River Bann and was named
after the River Bann Bridge built circa 1712, originally a
stone walled structure and today is an industrial heritage
asset. The 'Bann Bridge' plays a vital role in connecting
Bridge Street with Church Square.
There is an opportunity through design to enhance the
'Bann Bridge' railings and create a focal point/sense of
arrive for the bridge as it once was in its early days.
Bann Bridge Railings - Potential Options
Option 1
Potential to improve visual aesthetics of railings on Bann
Bridge with an extension to provide a new upper rail and
integrated down light with upper stainless steel handrail .

and perforated plate with integrated lighting to represent
