Baller Bear News No vemb er 20 11 Vo l . 10 , Issue 3 Dear Helen Baller Families, October was a great month! We all started to settle in and are familiar with the routines and expectations. I have been in lots of classrooms seeing all the great things the students are doing. I am very impressed with the students’ work ethic, academics and behavior. Baller Blast was a ton of fun. It was great to see all the kids having so much fun with their families and friends. I made the mistake of telling the students that they would not be able to dunk me. I was definitel y wrong about that! We have some students who have good arms and are very accurate when they throw. I was dunked at least thirty times and the water was very cold. I was happy to get out of the dunk tank when it was over. Thanks to all of the volunteers who helped make the carnival a huge success. With the weather starting to change it is important for the kids to wear winter coats, gloves and hats to help keep them warm. Please have them dress appropriately. If your child is sick, please keep them home until they are feeling better. We want to avoid spreading germs and getting other kids sick if possible. When your child is home for a day due to being sick or other reasons, please contact the main office at 833-5720. If the school is not notified about the reason of the absence, the absence is considered unexcused. Lastly, if at all possible please try to avoid from picking up your child/children early from school. It is difficult for children to keep pace with the class when they are missing class. In the event that you do have to pick up your child/children early, please send a note or call the office ahead of time. This will allow for the teacher and office to prepare ahead of time for the early dismissal. I want to say thanks to all the families and community members for helping make the start of the year a great one. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me in person, by phone or email. Have a great November. Go Packers! Dear Helen Baller Families,

October was a great month!

Lastly, if at all possible please try to avoid from picking up your child/children early from school. It is difficult for children to keep pace with the class when they are missing class. In the event that you do have to pick up your child/children early, please send a note or call the office ahead of time. I want to say thanks to all the families and community members for helping make the start of the year a great one. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me in person, by phone or email. Have a great November.
