It has been amazing to feel great peace about the decision, and also gratitude that both of us feel that it is the right decision. Of course, there is a sense of anticipation of the difficulties we might encounter, not only culturally or environmentally, but spiritually and relationally. Pray that we would continue to seek God and to listen well to Him in all things. We also appreciate your prayers for Silas and his health as we all transition to life in Burkina. Many fellow missionaries and local friends in Burkina Faso have expressed their joy at our upcoming return, and we can’t wait to see them all. As we leave Charlotte and spend time with family in New Jersey and Switzerland, we hope to see some of you. We are a bit sad that we did not get back to visit Indiana and Washington DC one more time before heading out, or getting out to Seattle, but our need for rest and effective preparation is key in starting our second term in Burkina Faso. Once we have settled in, we would love to have visitors from the US and Switzerland. If you would like to come see where we live and work, let us know, and we’ll look forward to welcoming you “chez-nous”. We are so grateful for all of you who are caring for us, praying for us, and supporting us financially - and we hope that you will continue to keep us in mind as we enter the busy season of preparations before we travel back to Africa.
