The Swiss Chapter of the World Baden-Powell Fellow- ship has the pleasure to invite BP Fellows and their friends from around the world to join His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, Honorary Chairman of the World Scout Foundation, for the 68 th BP Fellowship Event in Switzerland. A first highlight of the event will take place in Zurich, Switzerland’s economical capital. For the second part a short journey will take us to the magnificent mountains of the Bernese Oberland, where we can experience a true Scout adventure in the famous International Scout Centre of Kandersteg. In our Fellowship tradition, during this event we will wel- come new members of the Fellowship and recognise those who are moving through the Honours Programme. Not only is the Baden-Powell Fellowship Event in Swit- zerland an occasion to meet friends from around the world and make new acquaintances, but is also a hap- pening to learn more about Scouting’s contribution to society, this year especially with a focus on Africa. EVENT REGISTRATIONIn order to register for the event please fill in the enclosed forms (Event Registration Form, Travel Form, Activity Registration Form and Hotel Registration Form) and return them to the World Scout Foundation, latest by 31st August 2014. After the receipt of your registration we will supply detailed information, approximately one month before the event.

FEES• Event: CHF 1350,—.• Dinner Honours Programme: CHF 275,—.• Seminar “A Vision for Africa” only: CHF 140,—.• Fellowship Dinner only: CHF 350,—.

CURRENCYSwiss Francs (CHF).

TRANSPORTATIONAs usual, the trip to the event is organised individually. From Zurich Kloten International Airport to the city and the hotel it is approximately 30 minutes. You can easily reach Zurich, from all others Swiss international airports (Basel and Geneva), by direct train respectively within one and three hours.During the event all transportation will be taken care of, this includes

the journey to Kandersteg in a luxurious historical train.For those who will travelling to Zurich by car, there will be parking facilities available for the duration of the whole event by the Dolder Grand Hotel.

EVENT LANGUAGEThe event official language is English, this applies to all seminar, speeches, activities, etc. during the whole event.

DRESS CODEThe dress code for the event will range from Scout uniform to business suit and from casual to black tie.

Please note: during the event depending on weather conditions - especially in Kandersteg - proper clothing might be required (specifics will be advised with detailed information).

Kandersteg is in the middle of the Alps of the Bernese Oberland at approximately 1200m. Here you will have the choice to stay either in the simplicity of the charming and famous World Scout Centre, or in the romantic and luxurious Hotel Waldhaus Doldenhorn.

KANDERSTEG

In Zurich we will reside in the Hotel Dolder Waldhaus and in the Dolder Grand Hotel, on which the world famous architect Norman Foster has left his mark. From where you can enjoy a nice view of the city.
