WITH AN EYE ON THE WORLD

‘International’ is our middle name. From day one, lecturers put their subjects in a broader context. We invite foreign experts to share their views with you. And we complement our lectures with company visits and a field trip abroad in the second year.

A STUDY TERM IN TAIWAN OR BRAZIL?

You can spend the entire first semester of your third year at one of our foreign part-ner institutions. To ensure you can choose the best possible international study ex- perience, we established an impressive network of 106 universities, universities of applied sciences and institutes of tech-nology and university colleges.

YOUR INTERNSHIP IN PERU OR CHINA?

Do you dream of working abroad? The last semester of your International Business Management programme is the perfect time to give it a try. Over the years, we have developed excellent relationships with dozens of companies all over the world. Result? For your 15-week final internship take your pick from a large selection of countries and companies. The best and fastest way to transform into an independ-ent problem-solver!

GLOBAL CITIZEN

It will be hard to find an educational pro-gramme with a deeper intercultural im- mersion and closer transnational coope-ration than ours. With almost 60 national-ities taking part in the programme, you can be sure of an enriching experience that will last a lifetime!

FANCY A DOUBLE DEGREE?

As we work closely together with our inter-national partners, we have secured two interesting double-degree opportunities.

In AustriaEarn an additional bachelor's degree in Global Sales and Marketing by studying one semester at University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria in Steyr during your International Business Management pro-gramme.

In CanadaAfter your graduation in Ghent you can continue your education at British Columbia Institute of Technology in Vancouver, Canada. Obtain a Bachelor in Business Administration in just one additional year.

“I always looked up to successful managers who showed great passion about their work. Studying International Business Management seemed the best deal for me, because I could learn Chinese and would get the opportunity to spend a whole year abroad. I wanted to obtain a general view of the different departments in an international organisation. Furthermore, I was hoping for a first working experience in the USA. Thanks to the practically oriented programme I succeeded in both ambitions. I was the very first bachelor student ever to take up an internship at Flanders Investment & Trade in San Francisco, in the heart of Silicon Valley. REAL-LIFE EXPERIENCES

I definitely appreciated the consistent international focus of the various courses. You learn how to do business with people of different cultures in an international context and you really get the chance to experience it yourself. My advice to new students? Don't be afraid to be ambitious. Open up to new challenges. And most of all, enjoy it!”

“What I like the most about the programme? Definitely the fact that we are taught such a wide range of topics, allowing everyone to find something to be passionate about. If you combine your curiosity, motivation, problem-solving abilities and a positive attitude, then International Business Management will be perfect for you!If not, you will acquire those qualities with the help of your fellow students and lecturers.DOUBLE DEGREE IN CANADA

My ambition for next year is to pursue a double degree in Business Administration from BCIT, a Canadian partner institution of Artevelde University of Applied Sciences. If I do not get onto that programme, I plan to stay in Belgium, since I already have a job offer from my internship company. I would combine that with a master's degree in Ghent or Brussels.”

Finally, we welcome residents in Belgium who already possess foreign degrees and want to obtain a bachelor’s degree in International Business Management.
