Aztec News Nov 2019 Coming in December Dec 2 – Band @ Visalia Christmas Parade Dec 9 – Christmas Concert Dec 10 Guitar Christmas Nov 22 Dec 12 – Christmas Band Concert Dec 20 – Minimum Day Dec 23-Jan 13 – Winter Break October 2019 Oct. 9 —Attendance Assembly Oct. 11 — Fall Picnic Oct. 25 – Student of the Quarter Luncheon Oct. 31 – Battle of the Badges Blood Drive/ Halloween November 2019 In the month of November our Counselors have been some busy bees vising several classrooms on campus. They have been busy helping our Seniors fill out their COS College applicaons as well as their FAFSA Applicaons to get them ahead of the deadline which is on March 2, 2019. They have also been sharing informaon about Fresno State and CSU/UC applicaons and what is required to apply. Jostens came onto campus to talk to our Senior students about graduaon orders which consist of their cap and gowns, class rings, announcements and much more. Packets and order forms were given to the students to take home for families to look over. Also this month the Football Banquet was held and some of our players were recognized for their athlec ability. Cris Santos was recognized as Defensive Player of the Year from the Visalia QB Club and Anthony Salinas was recognized as Offensive Player of the Year from the Visalia QB Club as well. Our JV Cross Country Girls team did very well this season and won League, Our Varsity Girls finished the season in 2 nd place with Julissa Avila finishing in 4 th place and Anahi Avila finishing in 5 th place and both girls received all League Honors. Coaches Kenny Smith and Michael Barcellos both received Coach of the Year on the girl’s teams. Cross Country traveled to Fresno on Thursday for Championships. Boys and Girls Basketball as well as Boys and Girls Soccer will be starng in November. Boys Basketball had their first home game of the season on November 19, 2019 vs Mendota, the boys Soccer team hosted Hanford for the first game of the season. Girls Basketball will travel to Redwood for their first game of the season. We hope to see many of our Aztec fans come out and support our teams this season. November is a short month and we have Thanksgiving Break coming up with our students and staff having 1 week off for the Holiday. Thanksgiving Break will be from November 23-November 30, 2019.Students return to school Mon. Dec 2 nd . We here at the High School would like to wish our Aztec Staff and Aztec family a Happy Thanksgiving. Noviembre 2019

En el mes de Noviembre, nuestros consejeros han estado ocupados visitando varias aulas del campus. Han estado ocupados ayudando a nuestros estudiantes de grado 12 a completar sus solicitudes para el colegio COS , así como los formularios FAFSA para adelantar la fecha límite que es el 2 de marzo de 2019. También han estado compartiendo información sobre las solicitudes de la Universidad de Fresno CSU/UC lo que necesitan para aplicar. Jostens vino al campus para hablar con nuestros estudiantes de último año sobre las órdenes de graduación que consisten capas, anillos de clase, anuncios y mucho más, se les dieron paquetes a los estudiantes para que se los llevaran a sus casas para que las familias los revisaran. También este mes se realizó el Banquete de Fútbol y algunos de nuestros jugadores fueron reconocidos por su habilidad atlética. Cris Santos fue reconocido como Jugador Defensivo del Año del Visalia QB Club y Anthony Salinas fue reconocido como Jugador Ofensivo del Año del Visalia QB Club también. Nuestro equipo de JV Cross Country Girls lo hizo muy bien esta temporada y ganó la Liga, Nuestras chicas universitarias terminó la temporada en segundo lugar con Julissa Avila terminando en cuarto y Anahi Avila terminando en quinto y ambas chicas recibieron todos los honores de la Liga. Los entrenadores Kenny Smith y Michael Barcellos recibieron al Entrenador del Año en los equipos de las chicas. Baloncesto para niños y niñas, así como fútbol para niños y niñas comenzara en Noviembre. Baloncesto de hombres tuvo su primer partido en casa de la temporada el 19 de noviembre de 2019 contra Mendota en casa, el equipo de Futbolista de hombre recibió a Hanford para el primer juego de la temporada. Baloncesto de Mujeres viajará a Redwood para su primer juego de la temporada. Esperamos ver a muchos de nuestros fanáticos aztecas salir y apoyar a nuestros equipos esta temporada. Noviembre es un mes corto y tenemos un descanso de Acción de Gracias con nuestros estudiantes y personal teniendo una semana libre para las vacaciones. Vacaciones de Día de Acción de Gracias comenzara Noviembre 22 a Noviembre30. Los estudiantes regresaran a la escuela el Lunes 2 de Diciembre. Aquí en la escuela secundaria nos gustaría desearle a nuestro personal azteca y a nuestra familia azteca un feliz Día de Acción de Gracias.
