" Marquita Belk (Silver Creek) and Susan Sp~inger(Salinas) take the best marks from 10 Section qualifying meets into the. third annual' Girls' CIF Track t&Field Championships Friday and Saturday in Berkeley.
They, along with Pam Blackburn (Cubberley) aregiven the best chance among girls from the CentfalCoa'st Section to cart off victories ..
Miss Blackburn will be trying to regain the highjump crown she lost last year after winning the firgtever girls state title the previous season in B~.kersfield.
.r Pam cleared 5-8 in the CCS finals, a mark' surpassed by only one other competitor in Californi<:\'sjOSection finals. Chris Remmling (San Dieguito of Encinitas) won the San Diego Section crown with a 5-8%.effort. .
