1 AXIS Data Solutions Project Manager Position Description 12/14/11 Job Title: Project Manager Department: Project Management (Client Solutions) Summary Project Managers are the day to day contact with our clients and manage our client’s projects. Project Managers translate client specifications into instructions for our IT and Data Management departments as well as for our print and mail production departments. This position requires someone that handles change well and is flexible and adaptable while at the same time organized and detail oriented. Excellent communication skills and the ability to use sound business judgment when prioritizing tasks are keys to success. The position provides a competitive base salary and benefits package. Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Confer with clients regarding project specifications including project timing, data elements, materials and special handling instructions for electronic and print/mail applications. Initiate plan and document layout of clients’ project specifications through client order form, schedule tests and setup timeframes for ongoing projects. Facilitate the introduction of and monitor progress of projects throughout production, confer with internal departments’ personnel, contract services with outside vendors and alter production schedules and project specifications to expedite timely processing of project in accordance with clients' requirements and company standards. Collaborate with technical and production personnel, one-on-one and in group settings, to provide technical or design solutions for clients. Communicate project status, problems or changes to clients, internal departments and sales. Escalate issues to Management as needed. Solicit and resolve inquiries, changes and complaints. Participate in quality control reviews of test and live data project proofs with internal teams and coordinate written approval/change process with clients. Inspect artwork, ink samples and proofs for project materials. Obtain client approval of materials and coordinate with Purchasing Agent to order materials needed to process order. Coordinate the delivery of supplies, postage and materials such as artwork, paper, envelopes and inserts, to put project order into production. Ensure that clients provide required project deliverables and meet production deadlines. Keep accurate records on all projects and client contacts for future reference. Typical schedule is 40 hours. Some overtime required to meet client/internal department timelines.

Education/Qualifications: Preferred education level is a Bachelor’s Degree. Preferred 2-4 years of experience in customer service and/or project coordination.
