Axis 360 eBooks & Blio: Android Devices
Pierce County Library System provides a collection of eBooks available through Axis360: a distributor of digi-
tal books to libraries. These instructions will get you started reading library books from Axis360 in the free
Blio reader app.
Create a Blio Account
Go to www.blio.com.
Fill out the required information and tap
“Submit”. Be sure to record your email
and password for future use.
Tap on the “New Account” button.

Download Blio
From the app menu on your Android device, open up the Google Play Store.
Search for “Blio”.
Download and install the free Blio app.

Open up the Blio application.
Browse Axis360 Titles
Go to www.piercecountylibrary.org.
Tap on the orange “BOOKS/MATERIALS” tab.
Sign in with your new Blio account information. You
are not logging in with your library card number and
PIN at this time.
Tap on “Downloadable Books and Music”.

Under E-Books, click on “Axis360 Catalog”.
There are several ways to find books in
Axis 360. You can browse titles on the
“Magic Wall”, or search for a specific
title or author in the search box.
Tap on the cover image or title of a
book to view more detailed infor-
mation.

Tap on “Browse” at the bottom of the page to
browse titles by subject.
You can also access your account details and
book lists from the menu at the bottom of the
page.
Once you have found a book you would like to
checkout, select a format and hit the “Checkout
Now” button.
Titles may have any of three format options; Blio,
ePub or PDF. Blio formatted files will only work in
the Blio app on your Android device. ePub and PDF
ebooks allow you to use a different reader app than
Blio.
To read ePub or PDF formatted books you must
have an Adobe ID account; you can set up one for
free at adobe.com.

When prompted, type in your
library card number and PIN
(usually the last four numbers
of your phone number).
Sometimes a title is checked out by another person and not available at this time.
Tap on “Place a Hold” to be notified when the title is available for checkout.
Enter your Blio account email
address and password.
A confirmation message will
pop up.

Reading Books
Open the Blio app.
Blio App
If your books do not download automatically, hit the menu icon and then tap on the “My Purchases”.
Tap your menu icon while reading your book, to access the
table of contents and bookmark options.
Tap on a cover image to start
reading.

Tap on the “Add to Library” button for the title you
wish to download.
To change settings in the Blio app,
tap on the “More” button from your
options menu.
The title will start downloading to your Blio library.
Tap on “Settings”. Here you can authorize your
device and change your auto-
matic download preferences.

Return & Delete
To delete a book from the Blio app, tap and hold on the cover image.
Tap on “Remove from Library”.
Scroll/swipe to the left in the bar of
options that appear.
