ASL Skill Building
Event Description
This workshop, for teachers and teacher consultants of students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH), will focus on several aspects of American Sign Language (ASL), including structure, grammar, classifiers, and technical signs.
Participants will identify and apply:
• ASL structure, grammatical features, and classifiers
• Multiple meanings from English to ASL
• Multiple meanings from ASL to English
• Strategies for representing key vocabulary
• Technical signs using ASL
Prerequisite:
Must have intermediate ASL skills
