Getting Started
This resets all mix settings for every channel to the factory defaults so that you can start building your own mix.
Start with Enhance off and Bass and Treble fl at.
How to Adjust Your Mix
• Select a channel.
• Adjust its volume, stereo placement, reverb, or tone.
Making Your Mix:Channel Volumes
• Begin building a mix by turning up channels one by one.
• Start with bass and drums and then add in guitars and keyboards and other instruments. Add vocals last.
TIP: Don’t turn anything up too loud
yet; you can tweak volumes after
adjusting everything else.

How to Use Stereo Placement
• For a STEREO channel:
• For a MONO channel:
• In Spread mode, turn the knob to open or close the stereo separation of that channel.
• In Pan mode, turn the knob to move the signal.
Turn the Pan knob to move the signal.
Press the Pan-Spread button to switch between Pan mode and Spread mode.
Good stereo imaging adds signifi cant clarity to your monitor mix and reduces the isolation some musicians experience with in-ears.

• Go through your mix and adjust the pan/spread of each channel.

• Pan all channels (mono and stereo) to mirror their position around you on stage. Use the Spread control to adjust the width of each stereo channel.

TIP: Make sure instruments with similar pitches or timbres
occupy diff erent places in the stereo fi eld. Some sources,
such as the bass, should be centered regardless of their
physical position on stage.

• Add Reverb to a vocal or acoustic instrument channel to reduce the sense of isolation some musicians get from in-ear monitors.
• Use the channel Tone control to boost the bass or treble of any channel.
How to Adjust the Main Output
TIP: Start with Enhance all the
way down, and then set
Bass and Treble. Then
turn Enhance up to taste.
The EQ curve for Enhance was designed especially for in-ear monitors.
• Adjust the master volume and tone settings.
• Press to turn Ambience on or off .
• Press and hold to adjust volume using the Channel Volume knob.
How to Add Ambience
TIP: The onboard mic is ideal for between-song
communication while using network audio
for ambience will provide improved fi delity
and spatial information.
